Lo abbiamo già scritto in un articolo precedente. È il caso tuttavia che ci torniamo un attimo sopra. Perché la vicenda è succosa (…mbleah) e magari va spiegata per via metafisica.

Dopo le meraviglia della cerimonia di apertura, con la transessualanza apocalittica, e dopo le gioie della boxe, dove si è sbloccato il livello «LGBT che menano le donne», le Olimpiadi ci hanno regalato questa ulteriore perla che non abbiamo intenzione di lasciar cadere così.

Sì, dopo mesi che se ne parlava – anche su Renovatio 21 – abbiamo avuto la certezza mondiale: la Senna è piena di cacca, e di quant’altro. Dicevano Escherichia coli, nome scientifico che nobilitava la questione del fiume della Ville Lumière ridotto a torrente escrementizio, in realtà si trattava di ben altro. Anche perché quel coli, ci parrebbe il genitivo di colum, che sta a significare il colon, tuttavia con sicumera crediam che vi derivi pure la parola culo.

E il culo, a queste Olimpiadi, sembra davvero protagonista. E non nel senso della fortuna sportiva.

Dobbiamo realizzarlo, per quanto sia scurrile e brutale, infantile ed inopportuno: dove c’è il culo, c’è la cacca. I sodomiti lo sanno, gli eterosessuali di tipo antico (ape-fiore, pistillo, insomma quella cosa lì) un po’ meno.

Tuttavia, c’erano mille modi, abbiamo già avuto modo di scrivere, per evitare questo schifo (letteralmente). Perché c’erano mesi, anni per organizzare in altro modo. Il surf lo fanno dietro l’angolo: a Tahiti. Farci lì il nuoto? Troppo lontano, ci sono quelli che gareggiano anche in piscina, e quella è a Parigi. Ma allora farlo nella Manica? Sull’Atlantico? È dietro l’angolo. RIO DE JANEIRO — A Brazilian Supreme Court panel on Monday unanimously upheld the decision of one of its justices to block billionaire Elon Musk’s social media platform X nationwide, according to the court’s website.

The broader support among justices undermines the effort by Musk and his supporters to cast Justice Alexandre de Moraes as an authoritarian renegade who is intent on censoring political speech in Brazil.

The panel that voted in a virtual session was comprised of five of the full bench’s 11 justices, including de Moraes, who last Friday ordered the platform blocked for refusing to name a local legal representative, as required by law. It will stay suspended until it complies with his orders and pays outstanding fines that as of last week exceeded $3 million, according to his decision.

The platform has clashed with de Moraes over its reluctance to block users, and has alleged that de Moraes wants an in-country legal representative so that Brazilian authorities can exert leverage over the company by having someone to arrest.

De Moraes also set a daily fine of 50,000 reais ($8,900) for people or companies using virtual private networks, or VPNs, to access X. Some legal experts questioned the grounds for that decision and how it would be enforced, including Brazil’s bar association, which said it would request the Supreme Court review that provision.

But the majority of the panel upheld the VPN fine — with one justice opposing unless users are shown to be using X to commit crimes.

Brazil is one of the biggest markets for X, with tens of millions of users. Its block marked a dramatic escalation in a monthslong feud between Musk and de Moraes over free speech, far-right accounts and misinformation.

Over the weekend, many X users in Brazil said they felt disconnected from the world and began migrating en masse to alternative platforms, like Bluesky and Threads.

The suspension has also proceeded to set up a showdown between de Moraes and Musk’s satellite internet provider Starlink, which is refusing to enforce the justice’s decision.

“He violated the constitution of Brazil repeatedly and egregiously, after swearing an oath to protect it,” Musk wrote in the hours before the vote, adding a flurry of insults and accusations in the wake of the panel’s vote. On Sunday, Musk announced the creation of an X account to publish the justice’s sealed decisions that he said would show they violated Brazilian law.

But legal experts have said such claims don’t hold water, noting in particular that de Moraes’ peers have repeatedly endorsed his rulings — as they did on Monday. Although his actions are viewed by experts as legal, they have sparked some debate over whether one man has been afforded too much power, or if his rulings should have more transparency.

De Moraes’ decision to quickly refer his order for panel approval served to obtain “collective, more institutional support that attempts to depersonalize the decision,” Conrado Hübner, a constitutional law expert at the University of Sao Paulo, told The Associated Press.

It is standard for a justice to refer such cases to a five-justice panel, Hübner said. In exceptional cases, the justice also could refer the case to the full bench for review. Had de Moraes done the latter, two justices who have questioned his decisions in the past — and were appointed by former right-wing President Jair Bolsonaro — would have had the opportunity to object or hinder the vote’s advance.

X’s block already led de Moraes last week to freeze the Brazilian financial assets of Starlink as a means to force it to cover X’s fines, reasoning that the two companies are part of the same economic group. The company says it has more than 250,000 clients in Brazil.

Legal experts have questioned the legal basis of that move, and Starlink’s law firm Veirano has told the AP it has appealed the freeze. It declined to comment further.

In a show of defiance, Starlink informally told the telecommunications regulator Anatel that it will not block X access until its financial accounts are unfrozen, Anatel’s press office said in an email to the AP. Starlink didn’t respond to a request for comment.

“If I’m not mistaken, it was a WhatsApp message that the legal representative of Starlink sent to the president of Anatel, forwarding a message from the company in the United States,” said Arthur Coimbra, a board member of Anatel, on a video call from his office in Brasilia.

That communication doesn’t hold legal value as conclusive evidence of non-compliance but prompted the telecommunications regulator to conduct inspections on Monday.

Coimbra said Anatel would finish an inspection report by the end of the day and then send it to the Supreme Court. He added that the maximum sanction for a telecom company would be revocation of its license. If Starlink loses its license and continues providing service, it would be committing a crime. Anatel could seize equipment from Starlink’s ground stations in Brazil that ensure the quality of its internet service, he said.

The ground stations receive and transmit data between satellites and the Earth. When a user accesses the internet via satellite, the data request is sent to the satellite, which then forwards it to the ground station connected to the global internet network.

That means a shutdown of Starlink is likely, although enforcement will be difficult given the company’s satellites aren’t inside national territory, said Luca Belli, coordinator of the Technology and Society Center at the Getulio Vargas Foundation. It is popular in Brazil’s expansive rural and forested areas.

Anatel’s President Carlos Baigorri told local media GloboNews late Sunday afternoon that he has relayed Starlink’s decision to Justice de Moraes.

“It is highly probable there is a political escalation,” because Starlink is “explicitly refusing to comply with orders, national laws,” said Belli, who is also a professor at the Getulio Vargas Foundation’s law school.

The arguments from Musk, a self-proclaimed “free-speech absolutist,” have found fertile ground with Brazil’s political right, who view de Moraes’ actions as political persecution against Bolsonaro’s supporters.

On Brazilian orders, X previously has shut down accounts including of lawmakers affiliated with Bolsonaro’s right-wing party and far-right activists accused of undermining Brazilian democracy. X’s lawyers in April sent a document to the Supreme Court, saying that since 2019 it had suspended or blocked 226 users.

Bolsonaro and his allies have cheered on Musk for defying de Moraes. Supporters rallied in April along Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana beach with a giant sign reading “Brazil Thanks Elon Musk.”

Earlier that month, de Moraes ordered an investigation into Musk over the dissemination of defamatory fake news and another probe over possible obstruction, incitement and criminal organization.

Bolsonaro is also the target of a de Moraes probe over whether the former president had a role in inciting an attempted coup to overturn the results of the 2022 election that he lost.

e conseguenze della messa al bando della Chiesa Ortodossa Ucraina – Dialogo con Sua Beatitudine Filippo I

Oggi abbiamo l’onore di intervistare Sua Beatitudine Filippo I, Arcivescovo metropolita Metropolita della Chiesa Ortodossa Italiana (COI), una delle voci più autorevoli nel panorama religioso europeo. In un contesto geopolitico sempre più complesso e delicato, la recente decisione del presidente ucraino Volodymyr Zelensky di firmare una legge che consente la messa al bando della Chiesa Ortodossa Ucraina canonica ha suscitato grande clamore e preoccupazione. Sua Beatitudine Filippo I ci offrirà la sua prospettiva su questa controversa decisione, esaminando le implicazioni che essa potrebbe avere sulla libertà religiosa, la stabilità interna dell’Ucraina e i rapporti tra le Chiese ortodosse a livello mondiale. Attraverso questa intervista, cercheremo di comprendere meglio le radici storiche e culturali di queste tensioni e di esplorare le possibili vie di dialogo e riconciliazione.

1. Domanda. Sua Beatitudine, come interpreta la decisione del presidente Zelensky di firmare una legge che consente la messa al bando della Chiesa ortodossa ucraina canonica? Quali sono, secondo lei, le motivazioni profonde dietro questa scelta?

E’ una cosa inaudita, neppure Stalin era arrivato al punto di mettere fuorilegge la Chiesa Ortodossa Ucraina. Non dimentichiamo che nel 2014, prima che fosse costituita un’altra realtà scismatica supportata dalla Nato e avallata da Costantinopoli, alla Chiesa Ortodossa Ucraina aderiva il 64,6% dei fedeli (più o meno come i cattolici in Italia). La motivazione è cercare di tranciare le radici comuni degli ucraini e dei russi e far dimenticare che la cristianizzazione della Russia è avvenuta nel 980 quando il principe della Rus’ di Kiev, Vladimir I il Santo, promosse il battesimo di massa degli abitanti nelle acque del Dnepr.

Per secoli la Metropolia di Kiev era la guida della Chiesa Ortodossa Russa e nei secoli XIII e XIV il Metropolita di Kiev risiedeva a Mosca (come i Patriarchi di Antiochia risiedono a Damasco e non ad Antiochia, attualmente in Turchia).

2. Domanda. Che impatto crede avrà questa legge sulla libertà religiosa in Ucraina e quali conseguenze potrebbe avere per le comunità ortodosse all’interno del Paese?

Sull’Ucraina si raccontano tante bufale, è un regime più dittatoriale di quello di Putin, ha messo fuorilegge ben 11 partiti, da quello comunista e quelli della minoranza russofona. In Ucraina il Governo, alla cui guida c’è un presidente ebreo ashkenazita (della stessa etnia dell’attuale capa del PD Elly Schlein) e alla guida del Ministero della Difesa un musulmano, si è scatenata una repressione contro la maggioranza ortodossa della popolazione peggiore di quella stalinista, il governo favorisce le sette evangeliche sponsorizzate dagli Usa, i greco-cattolici uniati e una Chiesa ortodossa scismatica che, non avendo alcuna radice culturale e storica viene vista con sospetto dalla maggioranza dei credenti. Viene poi favorita anche una rinascita, in chiave anticristiana, di organizzazioni religiose neopagane, come la Runvira, ne è esempio la venerazione al Dio Perun da parte dei miliziani del Battaglione Azov. 

3. Domanda. Dal suo punto di vista, quali ripercussioni potrebbe avere questa legge sulla stabilità interna dell’Ucraina, già fortemente segnata dal conflitto con la Russia?

Voler derussificare l’Ucraina, togliendo il bilinguismo (nel 2014 il 70% degli ucraini era di madrelingua russa, Zelensky compreso) in tutta l’Ucraina è in contrasto anche con le normative europee in materia di tutela delle minoranze etniche e linguistiche, quali la  Convenzione europea dei diritti dell’uomo, la Convenzione quadro del Consiglio d’Europa per la protezione delle minoranze nazionali e la Carta europea delle lingue regionali o minoritarie. Va fatto presente che l’attuale Ucraina è uno stato artificiale creato da Stalin che include territori come la Bucovina del Nord, l’Isola dei Serpenti e la Bessarabia meridionale storicamente rumene o la TransCarpazia ungherese dove, prima del colpo di Stato di EuroMaidan il precedente governo federalista del Partito delle Regioni, riconosceva dignità a tutte le lingue ed etnie delle varie regioni del Paese.

4. Domanda. Come Metropolita della Chiesa Ortodossa Italiana, ritiene che questa mossa possa influenzare il rapporto tra le Chiese ortodosse nel mondo e la Chiesa ortodossa ucraina canonica?

L’Ortodossia mondiale è già ampiamente spaccata, la maggioranza delle Chiese Ortodosse non riconoscono la Chiesa fantoccio ucraina filo-costantinopolitana ma la Chiesa Ortodossa Ucraina, Metropolia Autonoma (da oltre 400 anni) del Patriarcato di Mosca. La Chiesa fantoccio è riconosciuta soltanto da alcune Chiese greco-ortodosse, come quella di Alessandria d’Egitto, di Cipro e di Grecia. Una percentuale minima dell’ortodossia mondiale, dove la Chiesa di Mosca, da sola, rappresenta la maggioranza di tutti i fedeli ortodossi.

5. Domanda. La decisione di Zelensky potrebbe essere vista come un attacco alla libertà religiosa. Qual è la sua posizione su questo tema e come crede che la comunità internazionale dovrebbe rispondere?

E’ un attacco alla libertà religiosa che, paradossalmente, non ha indignato nessun partito politico europeo. Ricordiamo che l’Ucraina il 28 febbraio 2022 ha fatto domanda di adesione alla Comunità Europea e dal 14 dicembre 2023 ha iniziato le trattative per entrare a farne parte. Si ricorda che per aderire all’Unione occorre riconoscersi nella Carta dei diritti fondamentali della stessa che, all’articolo 10 riconosce a tutti il diritto alla libertà di pensiero, di coscienza e di religione. Tale diritto comprende la libertà di professare o anche di cambiare religione o credo, nel culto, nell’insegnamento, nella pratica e nell’osservanza. Tale diritto alla libertà di culto è un principio fondamentale che non dovrebbe mai essere compromesso, neanche in tempi di crisi. 

6. Domanda. Cosa pensa dell’accusa che la Chiesa ortodossa ucraina canonica sia troppo vicina a Mosca? Ritiene che ci siano elementi che giustificano tali preoccupazioni, o si tratta di una strumentalizzazione politica?

Che vuol dire? Con una tale logica durante la seconda guerra mondiale i paesi alleati avrebbero dovuto mettere fuorilegge la Chiesa Cattolica perché vicina a Roma, non mi risulta che a nessuno venne mai un’idea simile. Non vediamo come partecipare alle Divine Liturgie o pregare possa  nuocere al Governo Ucraino. La realtà è che la dittatura filo-atlantica ucraina vuole sradicare nel popolo quel sentimento di appartenenza al mondo russo che oggettivamente fa parte della propria etnogenesi e cambiare e manipolare la storia. 

7. Domanda. In che modo la legge potrebbe inasprire le divisioni religiose e politiche in Ucraina, e quali sono i rischi per il futuro della Chiesa ortodossa nel Paese?

Ci risulta che la guerra di religione è già in atto da almeno una decina d’anni e che centinaia di Chiese Ortodosse, soprattutto nelle regioni occidentali dell’Ucraina siano state militarmente occupate da membri della chiesa ortodossa scissionista e dai greco-cattolici uniati e che i sacerdoti ortodossi ucraini siano stati scacciati e malmenati.

8. Domanda. Quali misure potrebbe adottare la Chiesa Ortodossa Italiana, insieme ad altre Chiese ortodosse autocefale, per sostenere la Chiesa ortodossa ucraina canonica in questo momento di crisi?

La Chiesa Ortodossa Italiana, anche a nome dell’Unione Internazionale delle Chiese Ortodosse Autocefale con le quali è in comunione, cercherà in ogni modo di sollevare il problema della difesa della Chiesa Ortodossa Ucraina e di tutte le Chiese Perseguitate, da quella Serba in Kosovo a quelle assira, caldea e siriaca in Medio Oriente. 

9. Domanda. Crede che esistano possibilità di dialogo o mediazione che possano prevenire un’escalation delle tensioni religiose in Ucraina a seguito di questa legge?

Dipende dalla NATO e dall’Unione Europea che favoriscono il permanere di questa guerra fratricida, che avrebbe dovuto concludersi entro tre mesi con l’autonomia delle regioni russofone del Donbass, il ritorno della Crimea alla madrepatria russa, il ripristino del bilinguismo e la tutela delle minoranze etnico linguistiche. Purtroppo per il veto di Biden non solo non si è addivenuta ad alcun accordo di pace ma addirittura Zelensky ha emanato una legge che vieta ogni trattativa di pace. La verità è che in quella martoriata terra gli ucraini stanno facendo per procura una guerra contro la Russia per conto della Nato e i poveri ucraini sono carne da cannone per gli interessi dell’industria bellica americana.

10. Domanda. Infine, quali sono le sue speranze per il futuro della Chiesa ortodossa ucraina canonica e per la salvaguardia della libertà religiosa in Ucraina?

Le speranze sono, o che si arrivi ad una Pace giusta e duratura dove tra i vari  punti venga inserito anche il ripristino della Chiesa Ortodossa Ucraina canonica o che l’ONU intervenga in nome del rispetto dell’art.18 della Dichiarazione Universale dei Diritti dell’Uomo. Per finire, riguardo la libertà religiosa vorrei riportare le parole dell’imperatore buddhista indiano Asoka Maurya che nel 250 a.C. emise un Editto dove era scritto:   “Sua Maestà il Re santo e grazioso rispetta tutte le confessioni religiose, ma desidera che gli adepti di ciascuna di esse si astengano dal denigrarsi a vicenda. Tutte le confessioni religiose vanno rispettate per una ragione o per l’altra. Chi disprezza l’altrui, abbassa il proprio credendo di esaltarlo.”
