Ma a sfiancare quella retorica c’è poi il dato profondo evocato dall’ordinanza dell’altro giorno: vale a dire l’inconfessata propensione di molti a legittimare qualsiasi opposizione al “male” israeliano, perfino se a contrastarlo sono i milioni inviati al terrorismo palestinese sotto copertura umanitaria.
A quel circuito di finanziamento, infine, non sono estranee le complicità – o a dir poco le disattenzioni – di amministrazioni locali e settori politici sinistramente compiacenti con le realtà militanti finite sotto indagine. Dovrebbero sorvegliare il risentimento di cui fanno mostra solo perché certe loro magagne sono sottoposte al giudizio dell’opinione pubblica. E meglio farebbero se si dedicassero a non fare altri danni.

The anger and—we fear—the fears generated by the Genoa order concern neither the fate nor the responsibility of the suspects. They concern that now exposed side of the enormous political and editorial body that for two years and more had hypocritically toyed with the non-exclusively terrorist attitudes of Hamas.
