Netanyahu: ‘If we leave the Philadelphia corridor, it will be impossible to prevent Hamas not only from smuggling weapons into Gaza but also from smuggling hostages.’ During his press conference on Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed the need for Israel to control the Philadelphia corridor not just to prevent weapons smuggling into Gaza but to keep Hamas from moving hostages out of Gaza. “If we leave the Philadelphia corridor, it will be impossible to prevent Hamas not only from smuggling weapons into Gaza but also from smuggling hostages,” he said.
Netanyahu’s statement was based on documents discovered by the IDF when they recovered the 6 murdered hostages from Gaza on Saturday and from the interrogation of a high-ranking Hamas official.
According to a report by the Jewish Chronicle citing Israeli intelligence officials, Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar planned to smuggle himself, other Hamas leaders, and the remaining Israeli hostages through the Philadelphia Corridor to Sinai and from there to Iran.

The report notes that the Hamas leader understands that the end of his organization is near and his only way out of him would be to sneak out of the Gaza Strip and flee to Iran.

This is likely why Sinwar is not fighting fiercely over the IDF clearing out of the Netzarim crossing, instead focusing on Philadelphi, since there is no way he can escape Gaza through Netzarim.

The fact that Israel has assassinated other Hamas leaders, such as Mohammed Deif and allegedly Ismail Haniyeh, may cause Sinwar to feel that escaping to Iran through the Philadelphia corridor and using hostages as human shields and bargaining chips may be his one chance at survival.

The desperation of Sinwar to have full control of the Philadelphia corridor for smuggling hostages and weapons and for escape may indicate there is little likelihood of a negotiation leading to a hostage release deal, since there is a significant amount of daylight between Sinwar and Netanyahu on this issue.

The Philadelphi corridor, a two-lane road across the southern Gaza Strip, was established in 1982 when Israel withdrew from Sinai following the Camp David Accords peace treaty between Israel and Egypt.

Claims of 5G harm have been dismissed as “conspiracy theory.” A landmark case against the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) disputes these claims and says that harm is proven and that a disease epidemic exists.
Recently, the leading environmental and health advocacy organizations that filed the case presented 11,000 pages of evidence to support their claims. (Links to the evidence are provided below.) The case is before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Oral arguments are scheduled for Jan. 25 at 9:30 a.m. EST. The public can listen on YouTube.
In December 2019, the FCC closed an investigation that began in 2013 in which the commission asked the public to submit comments to the inquiry’s docket regarding whether the FCC should revise its 1996 health guidelines for radiofrequency (RF) radiation from wireless devices and infrastructure.
About 2,000 comments — an exceptionally high number — were filed with the FCC. These comments were submitted by scientists and scientific organizations, such as the BioInitiative and EMF Scientist, physicians and medical organizations, cities, such as Boston and Philadelphia, and hundreds of individuals including parents of children injured by this technology. The comments referenced thousands of studies showing clear and profound evidence of harm.
However, the FCC’s order, released on December 4, 2019, concluded that there is no evidence that wireless technology causes harm and that there is no need to revise the guidelines. The FCC’s decision failed to provide a review of the science, ignored evidence of disease, and failed to support its decision with evidence. As a result, two lawsuits were filed against the FCC. One by the Environmental Health Trust (EHT) and Consumers Safe Cell Phones and one by Children’s Health Defense (CHD) and additional petitioners including Prof. David Carpenter who is the co-editor of the BioInitiative Report, the most comprehensive review of the science by 29 leading scientists and public health experts. The CHD case was also joined by doctors who see the disease in their clinics and by parents of children who have gotten radiation sickness. One petitioner is a mother whose son died from glioblastoma, the same brain tumor that killed Beau Biden, President Joe Biden’s son.
The petitioners in the EHT and CHD cases filed joint briefs. They argued that, given the overwhelming evidence presented to the FCC docket, and because the FCC order lacked evidence of a reasoned decision-making process, the FCC violated the Administrative Procedures Act and that the Commission’s decision was capricious, arbitrary, an abuse of discretion, and not evidence-based.
The petitioners further argued that the FCC violated the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) because the Agency failed to consider the environmental impacts of its decision, and failed to comply with the Telecommunications Act of 1996 (TCA) because it failed to consider the impact of its decision on public health and safety.
