true God, true man, without sin, immaculate lamb, perfect victim, then: He cannot be generated from a nature contaminated by original sin. This is not “Catholicism.”

Why He Could Not Be Born of Joseph
Because Scripture states: Sin enters the world through a man (Romans 5:12)
The transmission of original sin is by natural generation, not by imitation (Council of Carthage, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas)
If Jesus were born of Joseph’s seed, he would have received a wounded nature.
If he had received a wounded nature, he would not be the new Adam.
If he were not the new Adam, there would be no redemption.

If THE INCARNATED WORD is God, then he cannot be generated from a nature contaminated by sin. Infinite holiness cannot be produced by a wounded cause. This is why Scripture calls Mary “full of grace,” and this is why the conception of Jesus could not have occurred through Joseph.
