Il Primo ministro canadese Stephen Harper, dopo il vertice con il Presidente ucraino Petro Poroshenko, ha firmato un accordo per fornire a Kiev un prestito di 200 milioni di dollari.
Il prestito farà parte dell’assistenza all’Ucraina che ha promesso il Fondo monetario internazionale per un importo di 17 miliardi di dollari. Inoltre il Canada fornirà a Kiev l’assistenza umanitaria per un controvalore di 3 milioni di dollari.
In precedenza Poroshenko ha dichiarato di sperare in una creazione veloce della zona di libero scambio commerciale tra l’Ucraina e il Canada.

La Slovacchia afferma di non aver ricevuto il 25% del suo gas dalla Russia
Il destinatario slovacco e distributore del gas russo Slovensky plynarensky priemysel (SPP), ribadisce la mancata fornitura di gas russo attraverso l’Ucraina. In particolare, giovedì 18 settembre la società ha registrato un calo nella fornitura di gas intorno al 25%.
In precedenza nel mese di settembre, la Polonia ha detto che non sta ricevendo a sufficienza il gas dalla Russia e che per 2 giorni ha sospeso le forniture inverse all’Ucraina.
Il capo di Gazprom Aleksej Miller mercoledì in un incontro con il Presidente russo Vladimir Putin ha detto che queste dichiarazioni si riferiscono solo ai volumi supplementari di gas e che gli obblighi contrattuali di Gazprom sono rispettati e pienamente conformi.

First let me thank all those who support our work especially to the people WE KNOW who are not wealthy and live on a limited income who support freely and generously the work we do to save our brethren from both death and severe persecution. Many who call to donate tell us a little about their circumstances and it is moving to know the sacrifices you make to help your Christian brethren. I am sure that many of you also who donate online are not wealthy and make similar sacrifices. Let me also add that 99% of the financial support we get are from individuals and their families.

Over the past few months we have initiated a program, which we have named “Operation Pithem and Ramses”, like the Hebrews of the Bible who were enslaved to make bricks for the Pharaoh, Christians are amongst the enslaved in Pakistan, with over 20,000 families suffering brutal oppression, living in misery working in brick kilns making bricks just like the hebrews did in Egypt thousands of years ago. We have freed over a dozen families over the last few weeks and continue to do so with our goal over next year to free 500 more. The cost is only $600 per family; this money is used to pay for rent for one month, food, and immediate necessities. Our rescue teams pull these people from their tormentors which is dangerous work, take them to their new home and after they settle in we find them legitimate employment in a different part of the country. Since our goal is to save 40 families a month at $600 per rescue will cost $24,000 a month. To free all 20,000 families will cost twelve million dollars, the challenge is big but as more and more people learn about us we believe the donations will come.

Rescue Christians in Iraq

In Iraq we have been working hard to set up a realistic plan to save and move people out of the country away from living in tents, unfinished buildings, schools (used as shelters) and other building not designed to be lived in. President Obama last night in his speech about his so called strategy to defeat and destroy ISIS stated he wished for Christians to remain in the Middle East but then stated it will take years to complete this task. Does the President of the United States expect people to live in tents for the next ten years? Does America expect people to suffer for years after our government has screwed up Iraq so badly?

The same ridiculous policies were used to advance the Palestinian cause, i.e. to keep refugees as refugees on the boarders of Israel and use them as political pawns. This time, it is the patriarchs and bishops of the Middle East expecting their flock to sit in refugee camps until America and it ‘s so called “coalition partners” defeat ISIS. The same patriarchs who told people to stay put in Iraq were the first to jump ship and leave their flock behind to suffer the attrocities of ISIS. Northern Iraq (Kurdistan) is in chaos. There are hundreds of thousands of people without shelter, medical care, as well as food, water etc. The need in terms of humanitarian aid is too enormous for we at Rescue Christians to make any significant impact. The other agencies that are doing what they can are also overwhelmed. So what we believe we need to do is move as many Iraqi Christian refugees out of Iraq and on to other countries. We have been working on this and have formulated and very innovative plan that with our current level of support (we get monthly) can move about 200 people a month ($70,000 in cost, $350 per person). We cannot give details of this plan for security reasons but it is realistic and very feasible. We plan to execute the first move of refugees sometime over the next 6-8 weeks and once we complete the first mission each week we will be moving people out of Iraq. If we can grow our donation base we intend to expand this program to move hundreds more a month but that will depend on our marketing and your generosity.

Another program we are working on is to help Iraqi Christians escape; that is to work with the Australian authorities using our partners on the ground in Iraq. Australia has announced that it will grant visas to 4400 Iraqi Nationals for asylum purposes. The Visas are free and Australian government will even pay for the transport to Australia but there are two challenges to overcome. First there is a requirement to have a sponsor from Australia who will invite the family to the country, so if an Iraqi Christian has no friends or relatives in Australia they are out of luck. Secondly the applications need to be translated into three languages (Turkish, Arabic and English) this is not a major issue in itself but the government of Australia requires the translations to be done (or stamped approved) by a recognized translation company which costs (even with volume discount) $854 for a family of five and $484.00 for one person. So to process 200 families just for translation costs is $170,800 a very large amount. Some of the Iraqi families could pay something but most cannot. We also need Australian Christian families to offer their support by inviting a family so we can increase the number of families that can get to Australia. Even better, if Australian family sponsors could donate something (or their church) all the translation costs that would be an even bigger bonus. Muslims Burn Christian Youths To Ashes. February 28, 2014/0 Comments/in Christian Persecution /by Keith Davies. By Theodore Shoebat. 58 Christian youths were attacked and slaughtered in Nigeria by Muslims, and numerous of them were literally burned to ashes. I wrote about this story a number of days ago, in which I wrote that the estimated body count was 40, but now this is the latest number. Police Commissioner Sanusi Rufai, said:
    Some of the students’ bodies were burned to ashes
One student and witness recounted the horrifying and disturbing event: I heard the cries of some people outside the school even before they [the militants] invaded the school …From where I was hiding I could hear other students crying at the top of their voices. I saw fire on the roofs of the hostels and other buildings in the school. But God saved my life. After they killed the students and burnt the structures, they fled.
So where are all of the sodomite and sycophantical homosexual sympathizers? Why aren’t they marching to Nigeria with their cameras, their pompous and outwardly righteous and objective dispositions and proud stances and tones of voice, with their use of the words “justice” and “liberty”? Oh, that is right, they are too busy harassing Christians in Russia and Uganda. Why come to Nigeria because Christians are being killed? Muslims Attack College Students And Slaughter Them “like sheep” February 28, 2014/20 Comments/in Christian Persecution /by Keith Davies. By Theodore Shoebat. Muslims in Nigeria attacked a college and mercilessly slaughtered dozens of students. They burned them alive, shot them dead, and when some tried to escape through the windows, they seized them and slit their throats. It has been estimated that 40 students were murdered in the attack on the Federal Government College Buni Yadi, but soldiers are still counting the corpses. The jihadists at first set fire to the college administrative block, they then attacked the college dorms, wherein they locked the students in and began firebombing them. One professor said: students were trying to climb out of the windows and they were slaughtered like sheep by the terrorists who slit their throats. Others who ran were gunned down. This is the reality of Islam; it is a road that springs from the depths of the hell, whose end is only perdition, tyranny, and destruction.

From PJ Media: When the Communist Party took control of China in 1949 under Mao Zedong, Christians were forced underground or forced to submit to Party control. Those that refused were interrogated, arrested, tortured, imprisoned or even killed. Samuel Lamb became one of the best known of these persecuted church leaders. Lamb first tasted prison in 1955, when he was sentenced to serve 18 months. He was imprisoned again in 1958, this time receiving a 20-year sentence. Part of his sentence was spent serving forced labor in coal mines, where working conditions were deplorable and many prisoners died. Lamb would later talk about how God preserved his life even in the midst of such dangerous work.
For most American Christians, Lamb’s experience lays so far outside our own that it can be hard to perceive as modern. Living as we do in a land of relative religious liberty, we understand persecution only as an intellectual concept. It lurks in the depths of church history, or haunts the horizon of a distant future glimpsed through biblical prophecy. The idea of facing persecution today, in present America, seems unthinkable at first consideration. After all, we’ve spent our whole lives driving past a church on every corner, swearing oaths on copies of the Bible, and covering our hearts while swooning over the Land of the Free. Be that as it may, as the culture makes radical shifts in the 21st century, the price of Christian confession begins to rise. If certain coalitions have their way, adherence to the Christian faith will be regulated out of public existence. Oh, the church buildings may stand, and 501(c)3s operating in the name of Christ may remain. Peaceful co-existence among Syria’s religious communities has disappeared since the beginning of the war, states Congressman Chris Smith. He also warned that religious minorities were being killed and persecuted at an alarming rate.
    Christians are being threatened into supporting the opposition and churches are being desecrated in civil war-ravaged Syria. “Before the war, Syria was a fairly pluralistic society, with Alawites, Shias, Ismalis, Yezidis, Druze, Christians, Jews, and Sunnis living in relative peace, side by side,” said Congressman Smith.
    “The situation was far from perfect, as President Bashar al-Assad’s regime had a vast security apparatus in place with members inside each of the religious communities to monitor their activities.”
    “The Assad government was guilty of serious human rights violations, including the summary imprisonment and execution of political opponents. But relations between the various religious groups were generally not violent. That civil co-existence has ended with the war.”
    It was reported by Thomas Melia, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Democracy, that many Christians had their lives threatened if they did not join the opposition.
    “Christians have been driven from their homes and killed en masse as presumed supporters of the regime,” he said.  Melia added there there is increased lawlessness in northern areas with regular kidnappings, rapes and looting.  He referred to the kidnapping of Syrian Orthodox Archbishop Yohanna Ibrahim and Greek Orthodox Archbishop, Paul Yazigi, who still remain missing.
    The Deaths of Christians did not appear to be collateral damage but the result of deliberate attacks, stated De John Eibner, Chief Executive of Christian Solidarity International.

From Christian Concern:     Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali has warned that Britain risks becoming actively “anti-Christian” at the launch of Christian Concern’s publishing house “Wilberforce Publications” which seeks to equip Christians to “face the challenges of the secular world”.
    Marginalisation. Drawing on his own experience of persecution, both personally and as President of OXTRAD, Bishop Nazir-Ali said that persecution “always begins with marginalisation and discrimination in the workplace and in public life”.

    Iranian Authorities To Christians: Anyone who tries to enter the church will be arrested. May 27, 2013/0 Comments/in Christian Persecution /by Keith Davies. This is only foreshadowing the holocaust to come. From Christian Today: The Central Assemblies of God church in Tehran was closed on Thursday due to pressure from Iranian security authorities. According to a story by Mohabat Iranian Christian News Agency, a well placed source said that a sign is posted on the main entrance of the church saying that the church is temporarily closed. Mohabat News said the source also said that the church staff have not gone to work for two days. The source also told Mohabat News, “The Islamic regime’s intelligence forces have been pressuring the church to close down since six months ago. The authorities also announced two days ago that anyone who tries to enter the church will be arrested.”
Mohabat News reported that its source believes the main reason for closure of the church is that the Iranian security authorities wanted to limit the church service to just the Armenian language, and prevent any Farsi services. In another incident on May 21, security authorities arrested Pastor Robert Asseriyan in the middle of a church service and transferred him to an unknown location. Asseriyan is one of the leaders of the Assemblies church in Tehran.
Dr. George O Wood, the General Superintendent of the General Council of the Assemblies of God in the US, released a statement after the pastor’s arrest.
Mohabat News said he expressed concern over the pressure on Persian-speaking churches in Iran, and appealed that the persecution and pressure exerted by the Iranian authorities on the country’s Christians be lifted. Elsewhere in Wood’s statement, he said that closure of the Central Assemblies of God church in Tehran is a beginning of the end for all other Farsi speaking churches across Iran.
Wood commented, “Such a move would essentially remove all open witness of the gospel of Christ in the country.” Mohabat News reports Central’s congregation was told to attend this Sunday’s service to hear the final decision of the church council regarding the situation. It is unclear at this point whether or not that service will be held. For some time the Central Assembly of God and other churches affiliated with it, have been under pressure to cancel their Farsi language services, the news agency reports. Muslims Well Funded And Strategic In Persecuting Christians

    6/4/2013 Washington, D.C. (International Christian Concern) – Tanzania has seen a dramatic escalation in Christian persecution over the past seven months. Much of the violence has originated from the small island of Zanzibar, located off of Tanzania’s east coast. With a population that is almost 99 percent Muslim, Christians are a small minority on the island and easily targeted by extremist elements. With the Church on Zanzibar increasingly under attack, many are beginning to wonder if extremists are attempting to drive Christians off the island all together.
    Persecuted Pastor Speaks About Persecution on Zanzibar
    In an interview with ICC, Pastor Dickson, whose church on Zanzibar was attacked by extremists, helps shed light on the increased persecution of Christians on the island. “[The] attack at my church occurred on May 26, 2012,” Pastor Dickson said. “Radical Muslims, who are growing in number in Tanzania, set fire to my church building. They set fire to all of the chairs, musical equipment and our PA system,” the pastor explained. “They even [burned] our Bibles and set my car on fire.”
    “I don’t exactly know why my church was targeted, but I think one reason is that my church congregation was growing very fast,” the pastor went on to say. “God has been using me mightily. Many people, including Muslims, have come for healing and some of them are converting to Christianity.”
    “In general, there is an increased hatred of Christianity on the island now,” the pastor responded when asked about the recent increase in Christian persecution. “Attacks against churches have increased.”
    “There have been other incidents. A young boy of about 22 years was jailed when he was falsely accused of burning a Quran. Two pastors have been killed in separate incidents,” the pastor continued.
    “The reason behind this is an increase in the number of fundamentalist and radical elements in Zanzibar and Tanzania in general,” the pastor said. “In the case of Zanzibar, this is fueled by separatists who are advocating for the [island] to break away from the [mainland].” Separatists want to break away from Tanzania because many fundamentalist Muslims believe that being tied to the mainland is causing Zanzibar to become “Christianized.”
    “It is very difficult to know who exactly is behind this [increase in persecution],” the pastor observed. “But it is obvious these people are well funded and they have strategized their campaign of persecuting Christians, aiming to their specific goals.”
    A New Trend in Persecution
    This testimony provides a personal element to the disturbing trend seen across Tanzania. Attacks on churches and the Christians who worship there have increased in both frequency and intensity. According to ICC’s source on the ground, the Anglican Church has recorded that at least six Christian girls were raped by Muslim extremists on the island of Zanzibar in the past couple of months.
    “We are concerned that no one wants to speak about this [persecution],” said the Anglican bishop of Zanzibar. “Sometimes Christians on Zanzibar are treated as second-class citizens. We need the cries of these [persecuted ones] to be heard and helped. The aim of the attacks [on these girls] is to shake [their] Christian faith,” the bishop went on to explain.
    Violent attacks against Christians aren’t limited to the island of Zanzibar. In February, two Christian pastors, Pastor Mathayo Kachili and Father Evarist Mushi, were brutally murdered by extremists. These incidents took place within six days of each other, separated by hundreds of miles. On May 5, the opening service of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church was violently brought to an end when a bomb was tossed into the crowded church from the street.
    Although the number of Christian deaths has been relatively low in comparison to countries like Nigeria, where over 900 Christians were killed in 2012, the fact that the number of these violent incidents are increasing is disturbing. Much of the violence continues to flow out of Zanzibar, including a threatening text message sent to many Christian leaders after Father Evarist Mushi was killed. “We thank our young men, trained in Somalia, for killing an infidel. Many more will die. We will burn homes and churches. We have not finished: at Easter, be prepared for disaster.” Though no attacks took place over the Easter holiday, many Christians on Zanzibar are still afraid to attend church regularly and are beginning to wonder if abandoning the island would be their safest option.

Iran. Christians and Jews are being executed and murdered in Iran. January 3, 2013/2 Comments/in Christian Persecution /by Keith Davies
A 24-year-old Iranian Jew, a member of one the most well-known and wealthiest families in Iran, was murdered last week, Channel 2 News reported on Wednesday. According to the report the man, who was identified as Daniel Magrufta, was dating the daughter of a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. The report added that it was at first believed that Magrufta was murdered during a robbery at his home, but no evidence indicating that his home had been broken into was found. The woman whom Magrufta was dating was reportedly arrested on suspicion of being responsible for the murder but was released without being indicted. Members of the Jewish community in Iran told Channel 2 News that the investigators reportedly told the woman that “if you were involved in killing a Jew, you did a good deed.” The incident comes just over one month after a Jewish woman was murdered by Muslim extremists intent on taking away her home. The brutal killing took place in the city of Isfahan, today home to fewer than 100 Jewish families.
The woman’s family said that a mosque has been under construction near the home. Its worshipers demanded that the family vacate their house in order to expand the mosque building. The owner denied and thugs later came to the home, tied up the woman’s two sisters who were living there as well, and stabbed the owner to death. In 2011, Iran executed an Israeli-born Jewish woman along with her Armenian Christian husband.
The current Iranian government census reports that there are still 8,756 Jews left in the country. In 2009, there were 25,000 Jews across the country; in Isfahan, Iran’s third-largest city, there were 1,200. (israelnationalnews)
