Another Christian institution in the PA was targeted by vandals, while the number of Christians living in the PA has dropped to an all-time low.

The Anglican Church in the Palestinian Authority (PA) village of Aboud, near Ramallah, was broken into on Thursday and valuable property, including religious artifacts, was stolen.

A resident of Aboud, identified only as I.M., told TPS that the atmosphere in the village is charged and that there appear to be elements who are pushing the generate strife between Christians and Muslims. He estimates that this incident is a religion-based hate crime. He added that that jewelry, computers and other electronic equipment were stolen from the church.

This is the third incident in the past month in which Christians living in the PA were targeted.

The St. Charbel Monastery in Bethlehem was broken into last week, the sixth time to be targeted in recent years. The convent, part of the Lebanese Maronite Church, has been repeatedly targeted, and Father Yacoub Eid, the monastery head, has asked the PA to protect the Christian holy sites.

Attacks on Christians in the PA have recently expanded, and are driven by religion.

Last month, Christian residents of the town of Jifnah in the PA were attacked by Fatah activists and were forced to pay the Muslim Jizyah ransom tax after a local woman complained to the police about the son of a senior Fatah official.

The violent incident, which included shooting, occurred in an almost exclusively Christian area, situated north of Jerusalem and near Ramallah, the de facto PA capital.

In a notice published on Facebook, the Christian residents of Jifnah complained about the loss of security and of their property, especially after they were forced to pay the Jizyah, as demanded by Islam.

They demanded that the newly-appointed Prime Minister Mohammad Ishtayeh intervene and ensure their safety, and decry the “racist and sectarian” behavior by a “senior official.”

A member of one of the families told TPS that the Fatah members ordered them to pay the Jizyah “so that they could enjoy the PA’s protection” and that the event was caused by religious and sectarian hatred.

The Jizyah is an annual per capita tax levied by Islamic law on non-Muslim subjects residing in Muslim lands. The tax is a fee for protection provided by the Muslim ruler to non-Muslims, for the permission to practice a non-Muslim religion with some communal autonomy in a Muslim state, and as proof of the non-Muslims’ submission to the Muslim state and its laws.

Jizyah has also been understood by some as a ritual humiliation of the non-Muslims in a Muslim state for not converting to Islam.

The Muslim-Christian Council in Jerusalem recently published a survey that shows that the Christian population in the PA consists of only one percent of the general population. Tens of thousands of Christians have left the PA for other parts of the world following religious persecution they have encountered at home, including the confiscation of Christian land and the assault on young Christian women.

Once a sizable community, the survey’s numbers show that today the community numbers only 45,000 in the PA, with 4,000 living in Jerusalem and only 1,000 living in Gaza. =================

Questa dipinge Nostra Signora come una vagina chiamata “Maria Vulva”. “Vulva” è il termine medico per l’interezza degli organi sessuali esterni principali dei mammiferi femmina. Don Eberhard Schockenhoff, rettore della chiesa dell’università, ha approvato lo striscione.

I responsabili, futuri impiegati della Chiesa, supportano uno “sciopero della chiesa” attualmente organizzato da gruppi anticlericali.

I rappresentanti degli studenti hanno difeso lo striscione su Facebook (17 maggio), affermando che lucidità si concentra sulla “femminilità” di Nostra Signora.

Secondo loro, l’immagine evita di mostrare la “Madre di Dio” come “umile e obbediente”, mostrando invece coraggio e forza da “femminista”. Utilizzano il termine “femminista” come sinonimo di “indecente”.

The official Facebook page of Turkey’s pro-government daily, Sabah, for example, is filled with praise for the destruction of the cathedral.

Sadly, Islamic supremacism not only targets the churches of Western Christians. It targets Yazidi, Zoroastrian, Buddhist and Hindu temples too. These religious minorities in the Muslim world are completely vulnerable, defenseless and severely persecuted…. In many Muslim countries, Muslim-on-Muslim violence is also quite commonplace. The Islamic hatred of different religious groups is not about geography — the East or the West. It is about religious faith.

What is heartbreaking is that arson and other forms of desecration of churches have been going on in France and other countries on a regular basis, with barely a mention by the media or Western governments.

Tehran Apologists Should Change Their Tune

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif has acknowledged that…. if anyone notices the Islamic Republic it is because its leaders are or pretend to be anti-American. In other words, anti-Americanism upgrades a ramshackle and incompetent regime that is visibly incapable of running a kebab-shop let alone a modern developing society. Zarif says that without anti-Americanism we would, at best, “be something like Pakistan”. And, he adds, who cares about Pakistan?

“Our solution is clear. In response to the cost of economic sanctions imposed on us we have to impose costs on the other side so that this war is no longer one-sided…. We have a free hand in striking economic blows at the enemy. America’s allies in the region, that is to say Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, are heavily dependent on two things: oil and the glass towers they have built around the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea… We must absolutely, hit the vital vein of those two countries, that is to say their oil exports. And we can do this in the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea. Such an operation will, without a doubt, force Saudi and Emirati leaders to seek peace with Iran.” — Kayhan, the day before the sabotage of four ships in the UAE port of Fujairah.

It is not enough to be anti-American or even anti-Trump to be automatically classed on the side of the angels. It is possible to be anti-American and anti-Trump and yet be a thoroughly obnoxious oppressor of the people and warmonger.

One of the problems with a dispassionate discussion of matters related to Iran today is that the issue has become too ideological to allow rational, not to say clinical, examination. Taking part in a televised panel the other evening to discuss the “sabotage” of four ships in the UAE port of Fujairah, I noted that there was as yet no evidence to show who had been behind the operation. At the same time, I noted that a leading daily in Tehran had urged the launching of precisely such operations just a day before the Fujairah attack.

Needless to say, I was attacked on all sides. Some claimed that by suggesting there was no evidence regarding the authorship of the attack, I was trying to whitewash the mullahs. Others claimed that by reminding people that such an operation had been urged in the daily Kayhan, representing the views of “Supreme Guide” Ali Khamenei, meant that I wished to incriminate Tehran to please “American warmongers.”

Mi hanno trattato come una bestia, picchiato, incatenato mani e piedi e spedito in un carcere federale messo in cella con terroristi ed assassini. C’erano 180 posti letto e in prigione c’erano 280 persone. Pensavo di diventare pazzo. Le torture? Una sera stavo pregando con altri ragazzi cristiani nigeriana. Siamo stati presi e portati fuori, hanno preso il rosario, sbattuto per terra, ci hanno sputato sopra e mi hanno detto che esiste solo Allah, il loro Dio. Io gli ho detto che si sarebbero dovuti vergognare, visto che a febbraio negli Emirati sarebbe venuto il Papa. Mi hanno preso, portato dentro una stanza, in tre persone, lì c’era un energumeno che ha arrotolato un asciugamano, l’ha passato sotto il lavandino, mi hanno spogliato e mi ha spaccato tre costole. Poi mi hanno tolto le mutande e mi hanno dato le scosse elettriche ai genitali. Per motivi religiosi, in pratica. Loro sapevano che io ero cattolico, cristiano. A Natale mi hanno vietato di chiamare a casa, mi hanno detto che a Natale io ero tenuto a non chiamare la mia famiglia, visto che quella era la nostra festa più importante a livello religioso. Ci hanno fatto richiamare il tre gennaio. Poi, dopo aver subito queste scosse elettriche, mi hanno preso, chiuso dentro un tubo, incatenato mani e piedi, e sotto c’era una fogna a cielo aperto. Mi facevano mangiare per terra, come i cani, solo con le mani. Io ho fatto una cazzata, non avrei dovuto farla, ma non meritavo di essere trattato così. Sono stato sempre corretto, ho fatto solo un errore”.

chinese men looking for foreign brides are now hiring brokers to find them Christian girls in Pakistan and paying off families for their daughters, according to a new report.

Since last October, an estimated 750 to 1,000 Pakistani girls have been married off to Chinese men in a trafficking scheme that often leaves the girls in precarious or abusive situations, the Associated Press (AP) reported this week.

The traffickers have targeted Pakistan’s small minority Christian population, centered in Punjab province, a deeply impoverished community with little political or social support. Their prospective husbands often profess to be Christian converts themselves, which is normally not the case.

The brokers look for especially poor or indebted families and promise large sums for their daughters, an offer that many find difficult to turn down.

“Once in China, the girls — most often married against their will — can find themselves isolated in remote rural regions, vulnerable to abuse, unable to communicate and reliant on a translation app even for a glass of water,” AP reported.

According to Ijaz Alam Augustine, the human rights and minorities minister in Punjab province, the marriage scheme is essentially “human smuggling.”

“Greed is really responsible for these marriages,” Augustine said. “I have met with some of these girls and they are very poor.”

China’s notorious gender imbalance, fruit of the country’s draconian population policies, has left many marriage-age men desperately seeking partners outside the country. Pakistan appears to have shown up on traffickers’ radar some time last year as a new source of prospective brides.

“It’s purely supply and demand,” said Mimi Vu, director of advocacy at Pacific Links, which helps trafficked women. “It used to be, ‘Is she light-skinned?’ Now it’s like, ‘Is she female?’”

For their brides — some as young as 13 — prospective husbands pay $3,500 to $5,000 on average, which includes payments to parents, pastors and a broker, AP reported.

While some Christian pastors have collaborated in the match-making, others, such as Pastor Munch Morris oppose these arrangements. “We know these marriages are all for the sake of money,” he said.

Last Monday, Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency conducted a series of raids in Punjab province in connection with trafficking, arresting eight Chinese nationals and four Pakistanis. The undercover operation leading up to the raids entailed attending an arranged marriage.

Swedish security service Säpo say they have arrested five radical Islamists in a short period of time, with one of those arrested being one of the main leaders of an Islamic school in western Sweden.

The principal of the school said that the arrest of the man, whose identity was not published in a report by Swedish broadcaster SVT, would not affect the functioning of the school itself, refusing to comment further on the matter.

Lawyer Lars-Erik Olsson, who previously represented the arrested man, said, “We have not had any contact now, and I also do not know if he will have the opportunity to contact me,” adding, “It does not take much for you to be designated when you are a Muslim.”

Gabriel Wernstedt, press secretary at Säpo, was also tight-lipped on the case, saying, “We never comment on individuals when it comes to our intelligence work.”

Wernstedt did not comment on the fact that several radical imams in Sweden have also been detained.

One of the Imams detained is Riyad Al-Duhan, also known as Abo Raad, who was arrested last month and served as imam for a mosque in the city of Gävle. The imam is known as a proponent of the strict Salafist school of Islamic thought and has been in Sweden for 20 years, but has been rejected for citizenship twice.

The spread of Islamic radicalism has been a major issue in Sweden for several years, with reports showing huge growth in the number of radicals. Swedish researcher Peder Hyllengren of the Swedish Defence College claimed the country had become a base for international jihadists.

Another report from Sweden’s National Centre for Terror Threat Assessment (NCT) released in March 2019 acknowledged that Islamic terrorism was still the number one security threat to Sweden despite victories against the Islamic State terror group in the Middle East.
