La Comunità ebraica di Roma esprime profondo sdegno per le manifestazioni e gli striscioni apparsi in alcune piazze in cui il 7 ottobre viene celebrato come “giorno della resistenza”. Quel giorno, a causa dell’attacco terroristico di Hamas, sono state compiute atrocità di inaudita ferocia contro civili innocenti. Qualsiasi celebrazione di simili atti equivale a un’istigazione alla violenza e a un’offesa inaccettabile alla memoria delle vittime e alla convivenza civile.

Rivolgiamo un appello a tutte le forze politiche, alle istituzioni locali e nazionali: condannate senza esitazione ogni apologia di terrorismo; adottate provvedimenti concreti per rimuovere simboli e striscioni di incitamento; garantite la sicurezza delle comunità ebraiche e dei negozi Kasher.

La memoria dei morti e il rispetto per le vittime non sono materia di propaganda politica: sono un dovere civico.
