Persecution
of Christians is driven by Islamic extremists. In the Sharia states of
the north,there have been many attacks on churches and Christian
communities in which believers were wounded or killed. In the last year,
an estimated total of 1,000 Christians died through persecution. About 5
million Christians are believed to be under intense pressure as a
result of their faith. The Boko Haram sect (an Islamic extremist group)
has become a serious threat. From 2009 to date they have destroyed over
50 churches and killed approximately 10 pastors.

Pray:

• For healing for Christian families who are bereaved through vicious attacks
• Thank God that the church is strong and that Christians express their faith with confidence
• For wisdom for Christian President Goodluck Jonathan governing a Muslim majority population.

    persecuted and that they receive the healing that only You can give.
    Lord, I pray for wisdom and strength for President Goodluck Jonathan.
    And Lord, I thank You for the strength of the church and my fellow
    believers to confidently express their faith even when faced with
    persecution and death. I thank You that I may call these people my
    brothers and sisters and for the ability to join them in their ministry

    on the Christians in northern Nigeria. Help them to feel You close to
    them, that they may remain strong in Your love. Be with the grieving
    families in have lost loved ones in these church bombings and attacks on
    Christians. Heal their hearts with the knowledge that their loved ones
    are now with You for eternity and no one can hurt them again. Please
    work with the president to help this country become safer for Your
    people. I also pray for those who are so lost to You in the Boko Haram
    sect of the radical Islamics. Send Your Spirit upon them that they may
    see the heinous acts they commit for nothing for we know that there are
    no people on this earth who can take Your love and care away from us.

    Your care and guidance.

    the grace and joy of calling out the Strong Name of Jesus whenever the
    evil one raises his ugly presence. Comfort these brothers and sisters

    all you’ve done & will do. I give you praise, honor, & glory for
    everything you are going to do. I ask for your divine protection for
    those who are being persecuted & driven into the Northern part of
    Nigeria. You said in your word my God shall supply all your need
    according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19) and
    so I ask that you allow this promise to extend to these your people in
    this region of the world in the name of Jesus of Nazareth & I thank
    you for it. I loose warring angels to surround them from the enemy &
    I plead the blood of Jesus over each & every one of them. I ask
    that you put a hedge of protection around them & allow them to see
    your hand of protection over them.
    Lord, they are doing your work for your glory & you promised in your
    word that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. (Isaiah 54:17) I
    thank you that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every
    tongue that rises against them in judgment they shall condemn for this
    is the heritage of the servants of the Lord & their righteousness is
    of you.
    You said in your word that whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound
    in heaven & whatsoever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven
    (Matthew 16:19) and so I bind up principalities, powers, rulers of
    darkness of this age & spiritual wickedness in high places over that
    region & command them to cease & desist in their activities
    over that region.
    I break their powers over that region by the blood of the Lamb. Father I
    ask that you strengthen all of these children of God with might in
    their inner man & allow them to be strong in you & in the power
    of your might in the name of Jesus Christ. I thank you father that you
    give them power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the
    power of the enemy & nothing shall by any means hurt them. (Luke
    10:19) I ask that you clothe them every day with the full armor of God
    in the name of Jesus Christ. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness,
    forgive them for anything they may have done or said that displeased
    you, forgive them for their sins, iniquities, trespasses, transgressions
    that they may have committed against you & wash them from the top
    of their head to the soles of their feet with the blood of the lamb. I
    loose warring angels to surround them & go with them where ever they
    go. I ask for all these things in the name of your son Jesus Christ
    & I thank you for them, and the fact that you give us the victory
    through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57) I thank you for
    giving them the Victory over the enemy in this region & situation.
    I ask in the name of Jesus that you increase their faith for Jesus you
    are the author & finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2) And there is
    nothing too hard for you.(Jeremiah 32:17)

    We know that you are in complete control of what is happening in
    Nigeria, and that you already know its final outcome. Yet you call us as
    believers to come before you on behalf of our brothers and sisters who
    are suffering persecution throughout the world and intercede on their
    behalf. So we intercede here, Lord, and ask you humbly to have mercy on
    these people who are so precious in your sight! Protect them and watch
    over them. Keep them safe and provide for them ubundantly. Let them only
    grow stronger in you and shine the saving light of Jesus upon those who
    do not yet know you. I pray, Father, that these strongholds would be
    broken. Lord, your Word says that you work all things to the good for
    those who love and serve you. We ask you that glory would be brought to
    your name in this situation in Nigeria, as well as to all other areas
    throughout the world where Christians are persecuted for their faith.
    Help us to be mindful to continually pray for the persecuted church
    throughout the world and to stand courageously along side them when we
    are able. I pray this, Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.

    shall be comforted. Thank you Jesus that you are on the throne and that
    you have sent the comforter, the Holy Spirit to dwell in your people.
    The comforter has come. The oil of joy to replace all their mourning
    wells up within them and floods their hearts and lives with the
    knowledge of your presence with them. I thank you Father that although
    many are the afflictions of the righteous, you our God deliver them out
    of them all. Thanks be to you O God who always causes them to triumph in
    Christ and makes manifest the sweet fragrance of your victory, even the
    victory of your resurrection, in everyplace and in everything that your
    people overcome. Holy Spirit of the living God, give the boldness of
    the authority of God in their lives to each and every one of them,
    encourge and strengthen their hearts with the knowledge of You in every
    thing they endure for the sake of your Son.They are troubled on every
    side, yet not distressed;perplexed, but not in despair;persecuted, but
    not forsaken;cast down, but not destroyed, for they are yours Father and
    nothing shall pluck them out of your hand.Give to president Jonathan
    your judgement and righteousness Lord God, and He will judge thy people
    with righteousness and defend the needs of the poor.He will bring peace
    to the people, and your righteousness will reign in Nigeria Enlighten
    the eyes of his understanding Lord and give wisdom liberally unto him.
    For you O God are good and you withhold no good thing from him who walks
    uprightly. Let you will be done in Nigeria Father as it is in Heaven,

24. Lord, I come to You tonight on behalf
    of Northern Nigeria. I did not know that their president was a
    Christian – thank You, Jesus, for raising him up! Thank You that he can
    seek You for Your wisdom in governing this land – and I pray that You
    would give him the vision that he needs to govern a nation that has a
    Mslm majority. Please show him what to do and what not to do – help him
    with every decision that he needs to make for this nation!

    Lord, I also want to thank You that the church in Nigeria has grown
    large and strong. Thank You for building Your church and Your people in
    a difficult land – I love that You have received glory from this. But I
    also continue to pray especially for the millions of believers who have
    been persecuted for their faith. They, as all persecuted believers do,
    need Your supernatural strength and grace to endure this. They need
    Your power to continue to be a light for You even in difficult, dark
    circumstances. I pray that You would continue to fight their battles on
    their behalf against the powers and principalities of this dark world.
    Cast down any spirits that are over that nation so that the nation can
    belong to You, Lord!

    And God, I ask You to send special comfort tonight to the families of
    those who have been attacked or killed because of their faith. Only
    You can help them. Only You can comfort in such a great loss – I don’t
    even know how You can do it, but I know that You can. Please just go to
    them – I don’t even know how to pray except to ask You to do the
    miraculous and to hold them and not let them go and to comfort them and
    to make it so real to them that they will see their loved one again.
