Afghan Christians come from a Muslim background. Believers who are
discovered face discrimination from family and community, Muslim clergy
and local authorities. The government treats converts in a hostile
manner, using any means possible to make them recant. The tiny Christian
minority cannot meet in public; meetings in private homes are possible,
but require great caution. Not a single official church building
remains, not even for expatriate believers. In February, an Afghan
Christian was released after spending nearly nine months in prison on
charges of apostasy.
Pray:

• For courage and perseverance for individual Christians with so little fellowship
• That Taliban threats against Christian relief organizations will come to nothing
• For the church to grow despite the difficulties.

3. May His Name be hallowed in
   Afghanistan. May the people who have suffered so much for so long in
   darkness see the Light of Christ and receive the Salvation and Love of
   the One and Only God who created them and love them. Pray for all the
   new believers, may the Lord strengthen their faith, deepen their love,
   brighten their hope, help them stand firm in their faith, help them be
   bold and wise in spreading the Gospel in face of persecutions. May the
   Lord protect the Christian workers in that land.

   • Dear lost soul, you’re on this site
     because your heart is searching and aching for truth. As Christians,
     were are required and encouraged to SHARE the Good News of the Gospel
     when asked, NEVER to force conversion which implies mind control,
     brutality and cannot be done anyway, such as Muslims FORCING people to
     accept Islam. No one on this earth can control anyone’s mind at any
     time, EVER. We all are given freedom of choice, granted by God Himself.
     No one is forcing anyone here at any time. I am grateful that I have
     read your note, and I forgive you for calling us “heathens”. Try and
     remember something: before Islam existed, all Muslims were either Jews,
     Christians, idol worshippers or atheists. May you find forgiveness, joy,
     peace and love in the religion of your choice. God loves you as much as
     He does the Son He gave the world to cleanse us all from sin when we
     receive Him in our hearts. I rejoice in the day when you will receive
     Him, You will find such relief and gratitude towards God, your heart
     will overflow and your eyes will see as never before, it happens to all

   • The soldiers who burnt the Koran did
     not represent Christians–they were not forcing any religion on your
     people, just their misguided anger, perhaps to fellow soldiers who had
     been killed, but I know true Christians who have come to Afghanistan
     who gave free medical and dental aid and loved your people there and
     their reward was to be killed–they were defenseless–the men who did that
     did so in the name of Allah–so you see, some of your people have
     misguided anger also, and also need to be forgiven, and the only one
     who can cleanse from sin is the sinless Son of God, who came here 2000
     years ago, and shed his blood, so all can be saved. “He (God/Allah)
     hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, that we might be made the
     righteousness of God/Allah through Him (Jesus the Christ).” II Cor.

   Afghanistan with your protection. If they are subject to mistreatment
   may You give them courage and sense that You are with them. May they
   keep the Word of the Lord hidden in their hearts and may this give them
   strength to keep believing that they will be able to meet this trial
   because You are with them. Warn them Holy Spirit if there is danger
   when they meet in each others homes. Thank you Lord.

    Afghanistan is on this months prayer list but do not forget the rest of
    our Family who are being persecuted. What could honor Yeshua most?

    to really know what my brothers and sisters in Christ go through who
    live in Afghanistan, but I do know we serve the same mighty and powerful
    God. I pray and ask in the name of Jesus, for those in this country who
    hate and persecute Your children, that their plans for wickedness would

    injustices and that scales would fall off their eyes and they would call

    another so that they may be strengthened and edified by each other.

    follow You. Raise up leaders that will foster a belief of religious
    freedom so that persecution will cease. For those who are persecuted or
    imprisoned, I pray that You would send Your Comfort to them. Lord,
    protect the Christian organizations who risk their own lives to live out
    their walk with Jesus by helping those in Afghanistan. I pray that
    peace can come to this country. Lord, bless the materials and the small
    amount of fellowship time that the believers in Afghanistan have access
    to, so that they may be fully nourished and satisfied. Lord, I know that
