I signed up in early June 2022. Everything was perfect. On August 8th, my account was blocked with a significant amount. At first, I thought it was because someone had attempted to make payments with my card, but I was wrong. Customer service replied: “The bank is conducting an internal review for security reasons. Once these checks are complete, you will receive an email informing you.”
After a week, no response, and here the ordeal begins. I start calling almost every day, always receiving the same response: that the bank is conducting an internal investigation. In the meantime, I send certified emails, first to customer service and then to the BBVA complaints office. On August 18, they replied to me via certified email (PEC) with a PDF attachment confirming that: “We inform you that, following the analysis conducted on the current account in your name, the Bank has decided to terminate the contractual relationship in accordance with the customer due diligence regulations, as will be communicated to you in a separate letter.”
