“I will pursue the case and do my best to bring the killers to justice,” he said. “However, I would like to appeal to Christians to support the poor family because they have lost their breadwinner.”

Afzal Masih worked as a rickshaw driver while his mother, Shagufta Bibi, worked as a cleaner at a local school, his son, Bilal Afzal, 18, told the Christian Daily International-Morning Star News.

“We are very poor, and both our parents worked very hard to put food on our table,” Bilal Afzal told the Christian Daily International-Morning Star News. “My mother is devastated by this and hasn’t said a word since we heard about my father’s murder. We can only demand justice from the government, as we don’t have the financial means to pursue the case.”

Pakistan, whose population is over 96% Muslim, ranked eighth on Open Doors’ 2025 World Watch List of the most difficult places to be a Christian.

Pakistan: Muslims attack Christians traveling to pilgrimage site, killing one, wounding another
Afzal Masih of Samnabad, a locality in Lahore, Punjab province, and his cousin Harris Tariq Masih were part of a group of Catholics traveling in a passenger van to the annual shrine of the Feast of the Nativity of Mary in Mariamabad, Sheikhpura district, when they were attacked by Muslims with a Kalashnikov assault rifle, said Aurangzeb Peter, a member of the traveling group.

“There were about 12-13 of us in the van, including women and girls from our families,” Peter said. “When we were on the Sheikhupura highway around 1:30 a.m., three young Muslim men on two motorcycles began taunting and grabbing our female passengers. They also blocked our road by zigzagging their bikes in front of our van.”

Afzal Masih, sitting in the front seat, asked the attackers to stop harassing the women, and the Muslim men stopped the van and pulled it out onto the road, Peter said.

“They started punching and kicking him, and they also attacked us when we tried to save Afzal,” Peter told the Christian Daily International-Morning Star News.

When the attackers noticed the posters and cross plastered on the vehicle and heard that all the passengers were Christians traveling to the shrine, they began cursing in foul language.

“They also called us Chuhra [a pejorative term used for Christians] and asked how we could dare call them out,” Peter said.

The attackers left, and the pilgrims continued their journey, but when they stopped at a gas station to check their tire pressure, the three Muslims suddenly appeared with weapons while Afzal Masih and Harris Masih were standing with the driver. One of them, later identified as Muhammad Waqas of Farooqabad, opened fire with a Kalashnikov assault rifle, shooting Afzal Masih in the neck and Harris Masih in the arm. right, Peter said.

Afzal Masih died instantly. He was 44 years old…

Fighting Hamas’s accomplices in Turkey, Iran, and Qatar is inevitable!
This is why Netanyahu will most likely ignore the continuing clamor among some Israelis for a premature ceasefire agreement, which would allow Hamas not only to hold some of the hostages to use as bargaining chips in any future negotiations, but also to maintain a presence in Gaza, a move the terrorist group would consider a major victory.

Until Hamas’s terrorist leaders show no willingness to lay down their arms and leave Gaza, it is clear that Netanyahu will have to continue hunting them, regardless of where they are hiding. It seems pointless to grant terrorist kingpins a safe haven.

If the Trump administration is serious about bringing peace to Gaza, the region, and ultimately, the West—and this appears to be its enormous merit—then it should continue to support Israel’s attempts to destroy Hamas’s terrorist infrastructure instead of working on ceasefire plans for Gaza that Hamas and its supporters have no intention of accepting.

The Trump administration undoubtedly understands that Netanyahu’s willingness to attack the Hamas leadership, even when protected by a foreign power like Qatar, simply indicates the Israeli leader’s determination to achieve the goal of “finishing the job” as demanded by the United States.

After Hamas’s repeated evasions, Netanyahu appears to have concluded that the time for any productive negotiations is over.

Hamas apparently realizes that if it returns all the hostages, it will no longer have any power to blackmail Israel.

Venerdì il governo spagnolo ha convocato l’ambasciatore israeliano ad interim a Madrid per una formale repressione, dopo che il primo ministro israeliano Benjamin Netanyahu ha accusato la sua controparte spagnola di aver lanciato minacce genocide contro gli israeliani.

Il ministro degli Esteri spagnolo José Manuel Albares ha chiamato Dana Erlich, il capo della missione israeliana in Spagna, per un rimprovero diplomatico dopo aver accusato Netanyahu di calunniare il premier spagnolo, Pedro Sanchez.

Ex ambasciatore di Israele in Irlanda, Erlich è attualmente il diplomatico israeliano più anziano in servizio in Spagna. L’ultimo ambasciatore israeliano, Rodica Radian-Gordon, è stato richiamato nel novembre 2023, per la risposta della Spagna agli attacchi del 7 ottobre e per la successiva guerra di Israele contro Hamas.
