Per Antoine, le preoccupazioni si concentrano anche sul futuro politico. Parla di “un clima ultra-morboso” e si dice “molto preoccupato per le elezioni presidenziali del 2027” a causa dell’ascesa dell’estrema destra.

Adèle, invece, è già partita. Nel 2024 ha lasciato Lione e si è trasferita a Lipsia, in Germania, per cambiare carriera.

Spiega che in Francia tornare a scuola e cambiare settore, dal diritto all’illustrazione, sembrava “meno fattibile, meno incoraggiato, più stigmatizzato”, mentre in Germania “i percorsi di carriera sono più flessibili”.

Nonostante ciò, il legame con la Francia rimane forte. Parla di una persistente nostalgia per la lingua, la cultura e i paesaggi che potrebbe portarla a tornare un giorno.

Ma i suoi recenti ritorni a casa hanno “riacceso la sua rabbia”, spiega. Dopo aver partecipato a una manifestazione a settembre, dice di essere stata “terrorizzata” dalla “violenza della repressione”, che “l’ha resa molto ansiosa”, in particolare “in quanto donna queer”.

“È stato raggiunto un punto di svolta”, ritiene. “La frattura è davvero visibile”

Secondo Gallup, il legame tra la sfiducia nelle istituzioni e il desiderio di andarsene è chiaro: quasi un francese su due che ha poca o nessuna fiducia nelle istituzioni dice di voler lasciare il Paese, rispetto a una percentuale molto più bassa tra coloro che mantengono un alto livello di fiducia.
