Per avere denunciato le illegalità di alcuni colleghi e superiori si era ritrovato lui stesso sul banco degli imputati. Agostino De Pasquale appuntato dei Carabinieri ha vissuto sulla sua pelle 25 anni di mobbing vessazioni e ritorsioni per aver tentato di fare in modo onesto il suo lavoro. Ed anche quando recentemente sembrava aver ottenuto una tardiva giustizia il calvario è puntualmente ricominciato.
UN DUPLICATO DI TROPPO – Tutto inizia nel 1985 quando De Pasquale originario di Marsala svolgeva servizio di vigilanza presso la Banca d’Italia di Trapani «Durante i cambi di servizio – racconta ad Affari – dovevano presenziare obbligatoriamente i nostri sottoufficiali che avevano il compito di aprire ad i militari che entravano ed a quelli che smontavano dal servizio. Poi dovevano riportare le chiavi al comando provinciale. Una mattina noi ci ritroviamo con un duplicato di queste chiavi all’interno della Banca d’Italia probabilmente fatto fare da due marescialli e da un brigadiere. In sostanza era un escamotage con cui i nostri superiori evitavano di dover venire sorvegliare le nostre uscite e le nostre entrate noi militari dunque avevamo il possesso indiscriminato di questo duplicato con il rischio che qualcuno potesse farne altre copie e metterle nelle mani di qualche sconosciuto. Così ho avvertito il mio capitano ma lui fece finta di nulla. Allora decisi di mettere le chiavi al sicuro portandole al direttore della banca. Nei confronti di due marescialli inizierà in seguito un processo penale che li porterà nel 1998 ad una condanna quando non erano più in servizio. Altri invece furono graziati e continuarono a lavorare. Nei miei confronti invece scatterà una soffocante serie di ritorsioni».
MORSA AFISSIANTE – L’appuntato inizia a subire una serie di provvedimenti disciplinari per i motivi più disparati. Viene più volte trasferito come quella volta che lo mandano a Palermo nel nucleo di scorta ai magistrati in un periodo in cui gli attacchi mafiosi erano all’ordine del giorno. De Pasquale ha la scomoda etichetta di carabiniere scomodo. Nel 1987 viene trasferito a Mazara del Vallo dove si scontra di nuovo con il muro di gomma. Subisce altri procedimenti disciplinari che in alcuni casi sfociano in azioni penali. Viene ad esempio accusato di aver abusato di una signora durante un’operazione di servizio. Da quella come da altre accuse verrà in seguito sempre assolto per non aver commesso il fatto. Durante il periodo a Mazara viene anche denunciato per calunnia nei confronti di alcuni superiori. Agostino aveva infatti denunciato alcuni colleghi per collusioni con la criminalità Sospetti che si riveleranno confermati quando un brigadiere verrà sorpreso mentre commetteva estorsioni insieme ad un noto personaggio della malavita. Nonostante questo la morsa dei suoi superiori si stringe sempre di più su di lui. Subisce altri trasferimenti anche particolarmente onerosi per l’Arma dei Carabinieri.
RIFAREI TUTTO – Viene spedito in Sardegna per tenerlo “sotto controllo” perché considerato non idoneo. Dopo ulteriori cambi di mansione nel 1997 decide di chiedere il pensionamento «Mi volevano far dichiarare pazzo sottoponendomi anche a visite psichiatriche. Non ce la facevo più. In questi anni ho speso più di mille euro in raccomandate inviate alle varie istituzioni senza ricevere mai una risposta. Ho manifestato anche davanti al Quirinale. Dopo che tutti i procedimenti penali a cui ero stato sottoposto ingiustamente si sono chiusi con la mia assoluzione ho chiesto di rientrasre in servizio anche perché c’è una legge che me lo consentiva. A Roma sono riuscito a incontrare l’ex ministro La Russa e così nel 2011 sono entrato in servizio. Ma purtroppo il clima non è cambiato continuano a farmela pagare per quello che avevo denunciato nel 1985. Subisco continuamente mobbing trasferimenti lontano da casa e il mio stipendio non arriva neanche 800 euro. Inoltre per il impedirmi il passaggio al grado superiore c’è una valutazione assurda di un vicecomandante che mi considera non idoneo a far parte dell’Arma dal 1998 al 2011 come hanno fatto a redigere questo parere se io non ero nemmeno in servizio in quel periodo? Se ripenso a tutto quello che ho passato ed alle sofferenze personali ed economiche subite da me e dalla mia famiglia non so dire come sarebbe stato meglio agire. Probabilmente seguendo il cuore rifarei tutto»
