Il 26 maggio ai cittadini sarà chiesto di scegliere che tipo di futuro vogliono per l’Unione europea. Il dibattito sul futuro dell’Ue non può essere ridotto a una scelta tra una Unione pienamente federale o la dissoluzione della Ue.
Noi come Conservatori europei, siamo stati i primi in Europa a chiedere a
gran voce una riforma dell’Unione, siamo stati i primi a capire che questa Unione europea, questo super-Stato burocratico che tutto regola e controlla, spesso contro la volontà dei suoi popoli, ha fallito. Per questo motivo vogliamo cambiare tutto in Europa, proponendo una visione alternativa e concreta. Noi crediamo in una riforma dell’Unione, in un’Europa che sia una comunità di Stati nazionali liberi e sovrani che scelgono di cooperare tra loro su alcune materie fondamentali, ma che mantengono la propria autonomia sulle scelte più vicine ai cittadini. Noi crediamo in un’Europa che sappia difendere i propri confini dall’immigrazione incontrollata e la propria sicurezza dalla minaccia del fondamentalismo islamico; crediamo in un’economia sociale di mercato che sappia sostenere le imprese senza aggiungere tasse e burocrazie europee a quelle nazionali; crediamo nella libertà della persona, ma combattiamo il relativismo culturale, in nome della nostra civiltà cristiana e della famiglia.
Tenendo fede a questi principi, siamo convinti che i Conservatori europei
potranno essere centrali nella composizione del prossimo Parlamento europeo e fondamentali per avviare una vera riforma dell’Unione. In Europa è arrivato il momento di rompere l’asse Popolare/Socialista per spostarlo a destra portando l’Unione verso una nuova direzione. La narrativa del pensiero federalista ci descrive come i distruttori dell’Europa, non è così. L’unico modo per salvare il sogno europeo è quello di riformare l’Europa, creando una comunità che faccia meno ma meglio.
Queste elezioni saranno determinanti per l’Unione e per il suo ruolo m questo
mondo globalizzato. Se realizzeremo la nostra agenda e se sapremo mostrare ai nostri cittadini che l’Unione europea è per tutelare gli interessi di tutti, avremo portato il vero cambiamento per l’Europa. Questa competizione elettorale sarà diversa dalle precedenti. Nuovi equilibri sembrano possibili, noi Conservatori siamo pronti a ri-sintonizzare l’Unione europea, cogliamo l’attimo e impegniamoci ancor più che nel passato per rispondere alle preoccupazioni dei nostri cittadini. Il momento di cambiare tutto in Europa è ora.

It was Iran, not the US, that breached international law by carrying out the US Embassy takeover in Tehran…. It was also Iran, not the US, that immediately began using its proxies, such as Hezbollah, to commit terrorism and incite antagonism towards America.
Should the mullahs be appeased for killing thousands of Americans? For continually taking Americans as hostages? For being the leading executioner of children in the world? For ranking the first in the world per capita when it comes to executing people? For being the world’s top state sponsor of terrorism? For making every possible effort to damage US national security and scuttle US foreign policy objectives?
The Iranian government’s hatred towards the US often seems the most important reason for its existence. As long as the ruling mullahs remain in power, the Islamic Republic will continue its acts of terror and deep antagonism against Americans, their Sunni neighbors, the lands they try to control — such as Iraq, Syria, Yemen, parts of Gaza and Venezuela, Lebanon — and the West.

The argument that the US must take an apologetic stance towards the theocratic establishment of Iran is being repeatedly made without the evidence of any effectiveness to back it up.
Former President Barack Obama created this policy, and insisted that it would be successful. Even as Iran flaunted its disregard for the American government, as well as human life, President Obama would continually apologize to the Iranian leaders. He made it sound as if America was to blame for initiating the hatred that the Iranian government projects toward the United States.
