Giorgia Meloni a «La Verità»: «Il Governo blocchi il farmaco gender, i valori non negoziabili sono sotto attacco» Intervista di Alessandro Rico Non solo i leghisti Massimiliano Romeo, Simone Pillon e Sonia Fregolent. L’inchiesta della Verità sulla triptorelina, il farmaco che blocca la pubertà e, a spese del Servizio sanitario nazionale, spalanca le porte alla transessualità infantile, ha allarmato anche l’onorevole Giorgia Meloni. La leader di Fratelli d’Italia, in fondo, ha sempre mantenuto una posizione di fermezza sui temi etici. Fermezza che ha contribuito alla sua consacrazione internazionale quale esponente di punta dei conservatori, ottenuta con la recente partecipazione alla convention di Donald Trump negli Usa. Onorevole Meloni, la triptorelina va fermata? «La triptorelina è un farmaco anti tumorale e, se utilizzato a questo scopo, ovviamente va benissimo». Le cose cambiano se la si usa per bloccare la pubertà. «Infatti, il problema nasce quando si utilizza off label sugli adolescenti affetti da disforia di genere, ovvero da disturbi legati all’identità sessuale. A quell’età, questo farmaco diventa un inibitore di pubertà, cioè blocca lo sviluppo sessuale dei ragazzi per prepararli alla “riassegnazione sessuale”, cioè all’operazione per il cambio di sesso». L’avvocato del diavolo obietterebbe; sono loro che vogliono cambiare sesso… «Nella stragrande maggioranza dei casi, senza questo farmaco gli adolescenti tornerebbero alla loro identità naturale. Tra l’altro ci sono pareri discordanti sugli effetti collaterali e i rischi per i bambini che lo assumono. È per questo che va assolutamente fermata questa follia». Ma perché secondo lei l’Alfa ha autorizzato il farmaco? «L’Aita in questo momento è senza guida e, probabilmente, qualche dirigente troppo solerte, disattento o ideologizzato, ha consentito che venisse autorizzato l’utilizzo di questo farmaco a questo scopo, addirittura a carico del Servizio sanitario nazionale». Anche gli organismi scientifici possono essere «vittime» dell’ideologia gender? «Che ci sia una deriva gender nella nostra società è sotto gli occhi di tutti e nessuno ne è immune». Adesso si unirà a Romeo, Pillon e Fregolent, che chiedono il blocco del farmaco? «È quello che per primi abbiamo chiesto ieri in Parlamento, proponendo anche che il ministro della Salute, Giulia Grillo, venga a riferire urgentemente sull’accaduto. Che anche dalla maggioranza si alzino voci in tal senso non può che rafforzare questa richiesta. Speriamo però che non facciano il gioco delle parti come in altre occasioni…». In che senso? «I parlamentari dicono una cosa, il governo ne fa un’altra». Ecco, a proposito del governo. Come valuta l’approccio della maggioranza gialloblù sui temi etici? «Il contratto di governo ha escluso i temi etici, Lega e 5 stelle hanno scelto la non belligeranza pur di non mandare in crisi la maggioranza. È uno dei motivi per cui non mi piace questo contratto». Non fare nulla può peggiorare le cose? «I valori non negoziabili sono sotto attacco e non si può accettare la logica della “riduzione del danno”. Anche perché poi succedono fatti imprevedibili come questo e allora non c’è più contratto che tenga». Cioè? «O si sta con il farmaco gender o si sta con la salute dei minori. È per questo che mi auguro che presto si possa formare un governo coerente e coeso anche su questi temi, senza più grillini». Ma non le pare che anche dal centrodestra a volte arrivino segnali ambigui? «Forse in Lombardia». In Lombardia? «Nella scorsa legislatura la Lombardia è stata avanguardia nelle politiche pro vita e pro famiglia». E ora? «Non mi è piaciuto venire a sapere di provvedimenti per usufruire della pillola abortiva Ru486 in un solo giorno di ospedale anziché in tre, perché banalizzano una tragedia come l’aborto. Così come la modifica al regolamento sulla sepoltura dei feti. After Turkey invaded and occupied northern Cyprus, ancient mosaics were stolen from the Church of Panagia Kanakaria (pictured), which is located in the Turkish-occupied zone. A sixth-century mosaic of Saint Mark, stolen from a church after Turkey’s military invaded Cyprus in 1974, was recently recovered in a Monaco apartment and returned to Cypriot officials. The ancient masterpiece was described by Arthur Brand, the Dutch investigator who located it, as “one of the last and most beautiful examples of art from the early Byzantine era.”
Many other cultural Cypriot relics, from churches and other sites, were stolen from Cyprus by Turkish invaders and smuggled abroad. Some were recovered and returned in the past. In 1989, mosaics stolen from the Church of Panagia Kanakaria, discovered in the United States, were returned to Cyprus.
In the summer of 1974, Turkey mounted two major military campaigns against Cyprus and occupied the northern part of the island (which Turkey now calls the “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,” recognized only by Turkey). Since the Turkish invasion, much information has emerged not only about the atrocities committed against the Cypriots, but also of the destruction of historic, cultural and religious monuments.
According to a 2012 report, “The Loss of a Civilization: Destruction of cultural heritage in occupied Cyprus”:
“Turkey has been committing two major international crimes against Cyprus. It has invaded and divided a small, weak but modern and independent European state (since May 1, 2004 the Republic of Cyprus has been a member of the EU); Turkey has also changed the demographic character of the island and has devoted itself to the systematic destruction and obliteration of the cultural heritage of the areas under its military control…
“This is one of the most tragic aspects of the Cyprus problem and is also clear proof of the determination of Ankara to ‘Turkify’ the occupied area and to maintain a permanent presence in Cyprus.
“The occupying power and its puppet regime, from 1974 until today, have been working methodically to erase everything that is Greek and/or Christian from occupied Cyprus…”
A 2015 United States Library of Congress report confirmed the report:
“Foreign archaeological teams that were engaged in excavations in Cyprus were forced to discontinue their work after the 1974 events. Their valuable findings have been looted and the teams have not been able to return and resume their excavations.
“According to some estimates, through illegal excavations in the northern part of Cyprus, more than 60,000 Cypriot artifacts have been stolen and exported abroad to be sold in auction houses or by art dealers. The example of an ancient site dating from Neolithic times at the Cape of St. Andreas illustrates this point. The site, which had already been excavated under the aegis of the Department of Archaeology prior to 1974, was later damaged by the Turkish armed forces during the installation and hoisting of the flags of Turkey and the ‘TRNC [Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus].'”
In 2016, a report by the Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that:
“More than 550 Greek Orthodox churches, chapels and monasteries located in towns and villages of the occupied areas, have been pillaged, deliberately vandalized and, in some cases, demolished. Many Christian places of worship have been converted into mosques, depots of the Turkish army, stockyards and hay barns. This fact clearly proves that the religious heritage in the occupied areas has been the target of the occupation regime as part of its policy to eradicate the cultural character of the area. Moreover, important cultural monuments and places of worship continue to be completely inaccessible because they are located within the ‘military zones’ of the Turkish occupation army…
“The destruction is not limited to the monuments belonging to the Church of Cyprus, but also extends to religious monuments belonging to the Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem and to the Armenian, Maronite and Catholic Churches of Cyprus, as for example the Armenian Monastery Sourp Magar in Halefka and the Maronite Monastery of Prophet Elias in Skylloura.”
A 2017 article for Artnet, detailing atrocities committed by the Islamic State (ISIS) against relics in museums, mosques, churches and archaeological sites in Syria and Iraq, says that “UNESCO considers the intentional destruction of cultural heritage a war crime.”
Meanwhile, Turkey — which has been committing the intentional destruction of occupied Cyprus’s cultural heritage for more than four decades — remains a member of NATO and a candidate for membership in the European Union. This is a situation that the West must force Turkey to address — and not only when an individual piece of looted art, such as the mosaic of Saint Mark, happens to be rescued.

When I visited the beautiful island of Cyprus several years ago, I wept as I looked over the wall that divided the island into Cypriot and Turkish sides. I wept more as I realized that the Turks were deliberately using the Cypriot churches as toilets and latrines, and laughing all the time. Cyprus remains one of my most favorite places in the world. I also wept as I walked where Paul walked while he was on Cyprus. Each time I was blessed to visit Cyprus through the years, and it was many, I was even more blessed to meet and respect many Cypriots. They were warm, kind, curious, intelligent, and so helpful. I remained friends with several.

None of this should ever have been allowed to happen. If NATO was any good, they would have expelled Turkey in 1974, and prevented them from invading Cyprus — even if Cyprus isn’t a member, it isn’t something that should have been tolerated. Nothing but force would have prevented the Turks from invading Cyprus, and nothing but force will remove them. They’re now meddling in northern Syria, western Iraq, claiming various Greek islands, trying to get a foothold in Libya, etc. How much further are they going to be allowed to go before someone develops the will to slap them down and drive them back inside their borders?

More cause for NATO to say that Turkey is in need of quarantine, therefore it is not part of NATO, until such time as it can uphold why NATO was created.

The west is getting a belly full of Islam. Christians have long had a belly full of Islam. There’s nothing good or noble about that religion. It’s a religion of hate – hate of everyone that isn’t Muslim and hate of every Muslim sect that isn’t their own. If you doubt this, read a little of their Quran. We need to get out of Turkey fast. They’ve become another Iran.

I am saddened to read that the Turkish are destroying Christian religious buildings and their contents in Turkish occupied Cyprus. I spent a couple of years in Cyprus as a child – 1958/59 – very happy memories. And I returned briefly (from Saudi Arabia) to marry there in 1996. On that visit, I was curious to visit the inside of a small abandoned Turkish mosque close to Larnaca – and I was impressed to find that I couldn’t enter without collecting the key from a local gentleman who assured me that the mosque was being kept safe in the event of the congregations return. I have always remembered that, and have often quoted the story, and I am very sad to learn that the Turkish government does not appear to be encouraging its Turkish Cypriot citizens to reciprocate with regard to Christian places of worship.

The Erdogan regime is always ready to prove there is “no moderate islam”. The Erdogan regime is no better than ISIS and was the primary supplier of food and newer weapons to ISIS. Turkey should be expelled from NATO without delay.

This is the same Turkey that the predominantly Christian EU at one time was hoping would join the fold. Great masters of thinking the EU numpties! They actually expected a Muslim country with a hatred of Christians would be a benefit to the club. They, of course, forget about the Koran and its demonic verses, and the Muslims themselves who believe in an entirely different cultural approach to life and freedom. The fact that women are second class, in Islam.
It’s fine for someone to suggest that Turkey must be held to account for the atrocities but unfortunately, the world we live in is populated by cowardly politicians, who simply don’t give a damn, just as long as they are comfortable and well paid and well fed! Today’s politicians are far too afraid to oppose anything or anyone Islamic.

Oh, come on – give Turkey a break. This is the first time Turks have occupied the land and property of a religious minority – there’s got to be a learning curve here. Did anybody tell them NOT to loot and pillage?! Of course, what the Turks did (and continue to do) to the Armenians with genocide and looting and pillaging of Armenian churches, schools, monasteries, etc. does not count because, according to the Turks, there was no genocide…

At what point does it become painfully obvious? Anything Islam must be shut down.
50 years from now western civilization will cry. 100 years no one will cry because no one will remember western civilization. In the 80s in Montreal I never saw or knew what a Muslim was. Muslim population was 100,000 in 2000 it became 500,000. In 2017 it is 1.5 million. by 2030 they will be 16%
I ask again when do we shut the mosques and declare the Koran hate literature?

The US should look for another air base outside of Turkey. We need to kick Turkey out of Nato and protect Cyprus. It is time for regime change in Turkey as well as in Iran.

Socialists in their crazy way of thinking probably console themselves with the false negative that Cyprus is being liberated from some form of western inspired colonialism. The Islamists and socialists pour billions into controlling the narrative through the media and in the USA as well. This is how the true nature of the war crimes of the Islamic State has been dissociated from Islam when it can be anything but.
