New
legal restrictions introduced in 2011 are likely to increase pressure
on the church. In August, a new Parental Responsibility Law was
introduced which prohibits children under the age of 18 from
participating in any religious activities except funerals. Although not
particularly aimed against Christians, it will have a great impact on
youth and children’s activities. Parents disobeying this law face heavy
fines and prison sentences of up to 8 years. Amendments to the Criminal
Code were also adopted, which punish with lengthy prison terms those
participating in unauthorized ‘extremist religious’ teaching.

Pray:

• Converts from Islam come under pressure from family and society to renounce their faith. Pray for perseverance
• More than half of the population is under 18. Pray that young people
  will have the opportunity to hear the gospel despite the new laws
• The import and distribution of Christian literature is very restricted. Pray that God’s people will have access to the Bible.

3. Oh Lord, it is a wonderful thing to
   know and believe that You are able to do mighty works even when places,
   such as Tajikistan, are almost completely closed!
   I ask, Holy Spirit, to please continue to work in the hearts of ALL who
   live there. I am asking for all their souls that not a one would perish –
   I know that Your word says that “only believe” and You will answer –
   for You this is not to big, since, before You created the earth and all
   things, You already had a plan for each one who would be born, it is
   Your desire that not one single soul should perish.

   endure the persecution and pressure to renounce their faith in You! I
   also pray for the youth of this country. Lord, I pray that You would
   make a way for them to hear the Gospel. I also pray that parents would
   be willing to still teach their children about Jesus. I pray for
   materials that are available in this country and ask that You would
   bless them so that each one that needs Your Word would have it! I thank

   of Nina’s story, praise the Lord! I am so happy that it glorifies You
   for You are such a good God. Please may all of her family come to know
   Jesus. I pray that Your Word would transform people in that country, and
   that they would be able to worship freely. Help the believers of
   Tajikistan and bless them with hope. Enable them to be strong Father,
   and send Your Son quickly to deliver us from this rebellious world, in

11. Oh, Heavenly Father! What courage it
    takes these believers to convert from Islam to the TRUTH of Jesus! They
    risk so much in ways we cannot even fathom. I pray that you will give
    them the grace to stand steadfast in their faith. Grant them your peace
    which surpasses all understanding, and guard their hearts and their
    lives as they step out in their new journey with you. May they not give
    in to pressure from family and society to renounce their faith, but may
    their family and others come to a saving knowledge of Jesus by their
    testimony. I pray that young people will have the opportunity to hear
    AND RECEIVE the gospel despite the new laws, which I pray will hold no
    influence or power over the spread of the gospel. I pray that Bibles
    will be readily available and accessible with no hindrances or dangers
    for those who receive them. May you be praised continually, Lord, and
    may your light shine brightly towards all who would receive your

    Send Holy Spirit to this land and save many souls.
    Father help them to find a way to get Bibles to these precious people.
    Encourage and cause the believers to be strong in the Lord.

14. Father, I thank You for the church
    You are building in Tajikistan. You are holy, and we praise You as
    believers who have been converted and who recognize Your holiness. I ask
    that the eyes of the people, especially the young people, in Tajikistan
    would be opened so that they can worship and glorify You for Your
    holiness also. I ask that Christian literature, especially Your Word,
    would be taken into the country by Your servants, even if it means
    risking their lives. I ask for endurance for believers who are
    persecuted by their families and by the new laws that the government is
    passing. We praise You because You are sovereign over all laws and You
    are in control of this entire situation. Help us, Father, to continue
    to pray for these dear brothers and sisters and give them strength to
    stand against the enemy and to proclaim the Gospel of peace with You to
    their families, friends and neighbors. Give them wisdom in doing this,
    and may Your name be glorified increasingly as people come to You!

    Deut. 31:8. And yes in most all cases we must and will suffer to speak
    to people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ……”And from Miletus he sent to
    Ephesus and to him the elder of the church. And when they had come to
    him, he said to them, You yourselves know , from the first day that I
    set foot in Asia, how I was with you the whole time, serving the Lord
    with all humility and with tears and with trials which came upon me thru
    the plots of the Jews; how I did not shrink from declaring to you
    anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly and from house
    to house, solemnly testifying to Jews and Greeks of repentance toward
    God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.” Acts:17-21 This is how the
    church is planted anywhere, anytime. We must take our crosses and
    follow(trust) our Lord.

18. Lord Jesus, may you continue to grow
    your bride in this country and may the gates of hell not prevail against
    her growth! I pray for the parents of children under 18….may they be
    faithful to instill in them the truth of your Word and the fellowship of
    believers. Protect them from the watching eye of the authorities who
    will seek to enforce the unjust law against involving children in
    religious services. For those who do not yet believe in you, I pray
    that your Spirit would stir the hearts of your children to make known
    the truth of the gospel. May He also work in the hearts of those who do
    not yet believe, stirring in them a curiosity and granting them
    encounters with followers of Jesus. For your glory, Lord Jesus, and the
    greater fame of your name…..amen

    faithfulness in bringing Nina to faith. I pray for the country of
    Tajikistan. Break the hold of those who would discourage and hinder the
    spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to your Holy will. Make
    the word of your grace and power available to those who have ears to
    hear and eyes to see. Thank you for your mercy to all sinners
    everywhere, who take the leap of faith and believe in your sacred and

21. Dear Father,
    We bring the people of Tajkistan before You tonight. We hear of the
    difficulty of Christians and those converting to Christianity in the
    Islamic countries and ask that Your arms surround Your people in this
    country, keeping them safe and strong in Your faith. While families and
    society puts pressure on the new converts to renouce their faith, give
    them courage to stand strong. Through the government has made laws to
    keep the young people away from the church and hearing Your Word, we
    know Lord that You can do all things and ask that the children of this
    country hear Your gospel. Help Bibles and other Christian literature
    make its way into this country and into the hands of the believers.
    Lord, we know that through You, although it appears that Islam is
    growing, so are the converts in the Islamic countries who are standing
    up for You. Touch them and keep them strong. Help them to know that
    people all around the world are praying for them. While many of us may
    not physically be able to help these people, we know that prayer is
    powerful and can accomplish all things through Jesus Christ.

    one and only true God. I praise your wonderful name. I ask that you
    will protect and strenghten all of your church in Tajikastan. I ask that
    by your Holy Spirit you would help those who have converted from Islam
    as they struggle from rejection of their families. I ask that you would
    give them courage to stand in their new faith in you.
    I pray that they might have access to your word to give them strength,
    that somehow Christian literature can be dispensed in this land and that
    despite the law that no one under 18 can practice religion children may
    hear the gospel. Thank you Lord that you are faithful and can do more
    than we can imagine.

23. Lord, first I want to thank You this
    morning for bringing Nina into Your family. Thank You for working on
    her behalf and for allowing her to hear Your good news – and for giving
    her the boldness to turn to You despite all that it would mean for her
    and for her family. Thank You for turning her father’s heart and
    allowing her to go to college. I pray that You would use her collegiate
    experience to guide her in the plan that You have for her life.

    I also ask, Lord, that You would make ways for children and youth to
    hear about You even in spite of this law. You are greater than a law
    and You are the great waymaker. I pray for Your wisdom, Your boldness,
    Your direction for all parents and youth so that they would know when
    and where and how to share/hear Your word. I ask that You would
    continue to make ways for Your gospel to reach the younger generation –
    whether it’s by repealing this law or by creative means and method – or
    even using funerals!! You are more than able to still let Your Word run
    free despite legislation, as You have done in so many other countries.
    I also pray for all of the MBBs in Tajikistan. I pray especially for
    strength and perseverance today for them! Help them to stand firm in
    their faith despite the challenges that will undoubtedly come against
    them from family and friends. They know what they are giving up when
    they receive You, and I pray that You would reward them a hundredfold
    for everything that they have lost. Equip them and strengthen them to
    live out their lives for You in a very difficult environment, and be
    their everything! Shower them with Your love today.
    Lastly, I pray for the distribution of Christian literature all over
    Tajikistan. I pray that You would make ways for Bibles to be
    distributed to every province, every state, every house! I pray that,
    despite the legal hindrances, people would be able to access Your
    amazing word so that they can learn Your truths. Give wisdom and
    perseverance and discernment to those who are distributing as well. In
    Jesus’ name, amen.

24. May this law be completely
    ineffective, take away its power, strength in such a way that will bring
    shame to the spiritual powers behind it. In Jesus name We break the
    spiritual power of this law, the words declared with it, and we proclaim
    that Tajikistan will know the greatest movement in the midst of
    children and youth that had ever happened. the doors of hell cannot
    prevail against Yeshua building up his church in Tajikistan from the
    oldest to the youngest in Jesus name. We also pray for all those
    deceived by Islam, let the truth of Jesus shine in the hearts powerfully
    and lead them to the Father. I ask in this season that Tajikistan
    church may be strengthen in the place of prayer to move against the
    gates of hell. May the church be expressed as a house of prayer in this
    hour in this country, and incessant incense arise to heaven continually.
