The
constitution protects freedom of belief, but the government restricts
this in practice. Conversion from Islam to other religions is not
permitted and the government actively supports proselytism by Sunni
Muslims. There are only a few hundred Kuwaiti believers; most Christians
are foreign workers. Converts risk harassment, police surveillance,
arrest and even physical abuse. It was reported that one Christian was
arrested in 2011. Yet the number of Muslim-background believers is
growing rapidly.

Pray:

• Kuwait’s Prime Minister and cabinet resigned in December 2011 over
  an alleged corruption row. Pray that the new government will pursue
  justice and peace.
• Islamic religious instruction is compulsory in all schools and
  teaching Christianity is prohibited. Pray that children would have the
  opportunity to hear of Jesus’ love.
• Obtaining a place to worship is extremely difficult. Ask God to provide meeting places for expat Christians.

 Help Christians where the need is greatest!

   I pray that as they remember those days and the horror of the ensuing
   war, that the governement would be grateful for their freedom. Much
   blood was shed, by their own citizens and soldiers from many nations.
   When Christians are being persecuted, may the persecutors remember in
   their minds the pain of it all. I pray for leniency and an openess for
   other faiths to thrive in freedom, and that Christians would be allowed
   to live in peace, as we all know that in Muslim states, one is a second
   class citizen or less than human for believing in Your Son and blessing
   Israel, by which so many privileges are removed from daily life, be it
   seeing a doctor, to refusing the admission of Christian children in
   schools, the list is so very long. Yes Jesus, also please come soon.
   KUWAITIS are descendants of Abraham, Christians are branches grafted
   into the true vine, and when you come we will all love one another as
   Christians, children of GOD most high, and we so do want this family of
   believers to GROW! Praise the Lord, thank You Father that you sent Your

9. Father, we come before You gratefully
   because of the atoning blood of Christ on our lives. Hear the prayers
   of Your children as we lift up our brothers and sisters in Kuwait. Give
   them peace about their situations and persecutions through Your Holy
   Spirit and give them boldness and courage to proclaim Your truth through
   every facet of their lives. Help them to be wise in their conduct
   towards others, that they may show Your love and win the favor of school
   and government officials by their conduct if possible. Yet we know
   that persecution is inevitable for Your children in this sinful world,
   and so we pray not for an absence of pain, but for protection from the
   enemy and grace to stand in the midst of their difficult trials. I pray
   that the new government will pursue justice and peace in the wake of
   corruption and discrimination. Help them to see that the Christian
   community is loving and hard-working and that they are nothing but good
   for the nation of the Kuwait. I pray that You would send people into
   the schools to teach and reach out to the children so that they may hear
   the Gospel of Christ and turn to Him. I pray that those families who
   are already Christians would teach and admonish their children well so
   that they can shar their faith with their classmates, even though it is
   unpopular and forbidden. I also pray that the Christians would have
   places to worship so that You may be glorified through their meeting
   together, but I pray that they would be able to meet and cooperate in
   peace until that is accomplished. Father, we praise You for the work of
   Your Spirit in this country, and we thank You for adding brothers and
   sisters to our family. Surround them and protect them from temptation
   and move in them to glorify Yourself. We pray these things in the great
   name of our Lamb, Jesus!

    and meet every need of those who love and depend on you. I pray that
    you will provide a way and a place for all Christians to gather and

    and peace, though this can only be done if those government leaders
    believe in you, the One and Only TRUE God. If they do not know you now, I

13. Lord, I bring Kuwait before You this
    morning. I pray for all of the Kuwaiti people who don’t yet know You,
    and I pray that each one of them would be given an opportunity to hear
    about You and to know You. I ask that You would continue to send
    workers into the harvest field who would spread Your Word, even in a
    difficult environment.

    I lift up the Kuwaiti government before You, and I pray that You
    would intervene in the political structure there. I pray that, since
    this current government has resigned, that You would raise up Your
    leader to take over in these next elections or however their government
    works. I ask that the new government would be led by You – whether they
    believe in You or not – and that they would pursue justice and peace in
    the nation of Kuwait. I pray that You would override sharia law and
    that Your law and Your plans for Kuwait would go forth.

    I pray for all children and families in Kuwait. I pray that, even
    though the children are forced to be taught Islm, that each one of them
    would be protected from letting that doctrine and belief system lock
    into their hearts. I pray that they would be exposed to the love of
    Jesus for them, and that they would turn to that love and hold onto it
    despite what else they are being told. I ask that Christian homes would
    override the Mslm education that the children are receiving and that
    the Holy Spirit living in their homes would be strong enough to keep the
    teaching of the education system at bay. Keep Your children, Lord, and
    lead them to Yourself.

    Finally, I join with Open Doors in praying specifically that You
    would create space where believer in Kuwait can meet to have their
    services. I ask that You would remove red tape, open doors, provide
    wisdom and provide the means to obtain the space that is needed. I ask
    that You would continue to help the Christians in Kuwait to work
    together and to be as one, so that no one would lack. You are more than
    able to provide these things!

    I ask all of these things in Jesus’ name, amen.

    You for raising a church for Yourself up in the country of Kuwait! I am
    so encouraged when I see that Muslim background believers in this
    country are on the rise! I come asking for Your Divine Hand to be upon
    this country as it enters a new phase of government rule. Lord, I know
    that You are Sovereign and that You appoint leaders for Your purposes.
    Lord, I pray that the hearts of these government leaders would be
    softened toward You and Your people so that justice and peace will
    prevail in Kuwait. Lord, I also ask that You be with the families that
    are in this country that have to be indoctrinated into Islam, even if it
    is not their beliefs. For the Christian families, Lord, I would ask
    that You let the parents be strong leaders for their children and that
    they lead their hearts to You. Lord, I also ask for children that are
    not brought up in Christian homes that You would grant numerous
    opportunities for these precious children to hear the Gospel and come to
    know that Jesus loves them. Lord, I ask that the red tape would be cut
    so that more worship centers would be available for Christians. I also
    would hope that the Christians of this country would remain united and
    in one Spirit, Yours! Lord, please continue to bless Open Doors and
    other ministries like it that are in the field harvesting for You! Thank
    You, Lord, for Your Love and Faithfulness! In Jesus’s Saving Name,

    I bring my prayer for Kuwait, to you, my God, by the authority given to
    me by your Son Yeshua who shed his blood that my sins would be forgiven,
    and that I would have access to you. Thank you for that wonderful
    gift of Salvation. You have made it possible that people from ALL
    nations and tongues may be saved. Kuwait is included in that list.
    But Father, the principalities and powers over Kuwait are battling so
    that the people of that country would not take advantage of that
    opportunity.
    Father, you love the world so much, that all who believe in you should
    not perish, but have eternal life– to be yours, with you forever,
    enjoying the new heaven and new earth you are preparing for all who love
    you.
    Therefore, loving Father, please accept our prayers as pleasing incense
    before you. Consider our requests, improve on them, do that which we
    have not even asked, according to your great wisdom. Put love in the
    hearts of the Kuwaiti government officials. Link them up with
    Christians who live up to their identity in Christ, who will display the
    love of Christ which wins over those who otherwise do not believe in
    Him. Let the Christians in Kuwait have a special love for each other
    because your scripture says that the world will know that we are yours
    by our love for each other. Then they will desire to have that same
    kind of love.
    Because we do care about Kuwait we ask that you bless that country with
    your grace, and bless your people with your wisdom, protection, and
    provision.

    government become more tolerant of Christianity and that my brothers and
