Persecution
on these islands comes mainly from the indigenous Muslim community,
although government restraints remain tight. A referendum passed in 2009
installed Islam as the state religion and seriously restricted
religious freedom. Only expats are allowed to operate churches. Converts
from Islam to Christianity can be prosecuted, so Muslim-background
believers meet in underground fellowships. Despite all of this, the
church is reported to be growing in size and strength.
Pray:

• Due to the close relationship between Comoros and Iran,which has a
  close relationship with Comoros, causes Muslims in local mosques to be
  increasingly vigilant about Christian activities. Pray that their
  influence will weaken.
• For strength and courage for the few believers who must meet in secret.
• Open Doors funds the translation and distribution of literature in
  Comoros. Pray that God’s Word will reach those who need it most.

3. Blessed are You our God, King of the
   Universe who fullfills all of our needs. As You faithfully fed us in the
   desert for 40 years with Manna from Heaven, let Your growing churches
   reach the lost Brothers and Sisters in Comoros. May those who know of
   converts remain quiet. May those in underground churches be kept safe
   until Jesus returns. Oh merciful Father, how hard it must be to hide
   one’s belief on an island, You are their safest Place, may they trust in
   You and grow in large numbers despite the difficulties faced each day.

   would put a supernatural hedge of protection around the believers in
   Comoros. I pray that “even though they walk through the valley of the
   shadow of death, they would fear NO evil!” You are their stronghold,
   Lord. I pray that you would hold them fast. I pray that many would be
   brought to a saving faith in Jesus by their courage and their witness.
   Do not let them despair or lose hope, Lord, but to press even closer to
   you. I pray that their plight would come to more light throughout the
   world so that more believers can pray and speak out for justice. Most of
   all, Lord, I pray for their strength, their perseverence, your peace
   which surpasses all understanding, and that more people in this region
   and throughout the world would come to know you and be saved. Amen.

   JUDGMENT THOU SHALL CONDEMN. FATHER YOU ARE THEIR REFUGE A PRESENCE HELP
   IN TIME OF TROUBLE. GIVE YOUR ANGELS CHARGE OVER THEM TO KE EP THEM IN
   ALL THEIR Ways. STRENGTHEN THEM INWARDLY, GIVE THEM THE COURAGE TO
   STAND. GIVE THEM FAVOR WITH THE THEIR ENEMY AND HELP THEM TO COME INTO

6. Lord, I come to You this morning, as
   Your child, on behalf of Comoros. My prayer today is for my persecuted
   brothers and sisters on this island. Firstly, I ask that You would
   supernaturally weaken the tie between Comoros and Iran. Since it’s been
   this relationship that has caused Mslms in Comoros to become more
   militant and aggressive, I ask that You would lessen this tie and that
   You would remove the influence that Iran has over Comoros. Let their
   nations get into a feud or disagree on an issue – anything that would
   bring division into this evil bond between these two nations.
   I also pray for all of the believers in Comoros who are forced to meet
   in secret. I pray that they would gain encouragement through the
   stories of the early church who were also persecuted for their beliefs.
   I ask that You would give them the grace that You promised for each day
   – that they would have the strength to persevere and to stand strong
   for You no matter what kind of resistance they face from the outside. I
   ask that You would supply every one of their needs according to Your
   riches and glory. I ask that You would strengthen and protect their
   families and watch over them each day. I ask that You would grow and
   flourish Your underground church just as You did the early church – even
   through persecution, let Your followers be bold in their witness and
   intentional in their discipleship so that Your church can grow in
   Comoros.
   Lastly, I pray for the Open Doors projects that distribute literature in
   Comoros. I pray that You would give continued wisdom to those who are
   involved in these projects so that they are not caught and shut down. I
   ask that You would reveal and expose any infiltrators or people who
   pose as those in need but who are actually wolves in sheep’s clothing. I
   ask that You would help these pamphlets and documents to get into the
   hands of those who need them most, so that those people can be under the
   hearing of Your word and might put their trust in You. I ask that You
   would use this literature also be an encouragement and a valuable
   resource to believers to strengthen their faith and help them to grow in
   You. I ask all of these things in Jesus’ name, amen.

   brothers and sisters in Comoros, asking that you would strengthen them
   and en-courage them in the face of such pressure and opposition.
   Protect them from the temptation to shirk back from living for You,
   loving their neighbors, praying for their enemies. I pray for the
   people of Comoros, a nation of people who do not know Jesus Christ as
   the Lord of Lords. May your Spirit move among them, convict them, open
   their eyes, visit them in dreams or through your word or the witness of
   your children. May the ongoing work of Open Doors be part of your
   faithful, unfolding plan to bring the gospel to that country. For the
   glory of your Son, our Lord Jesus….amen

   praising and thanking You for the small but growing church in the
   country of Comoros. Lord, I ask for Your protection over the believers
   who have to worship You in secret for fear of persecution. I ask for the
   influence of Iran to diminish over this country so that more freedom to
   worship You will come about in Comoros. Lord, please continue to
   comfort and strengthen those who are persecuted for Your name in this
   country. I ask that You work ways for much needed materials get to those
   who need them so that all believers may be encouraged and so that
   nonbelievers hearts may be softened and yield to You. Lord, please
   continue to bless Open Doors work in Comoros so that they may continue
   the important work of evangelizing to those who so desperately need Your
   love. Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit on this land so that many more
   will become Your children. Let Comoros become a country after Your own
   heart! Thank You for Your answers to our humble prayers! In Jesus’s

   Usa sus vidas para predicacion de el Evangelio. Padre mio, consuela sus
   corazones. Clamamos por todo este paiz. Atamos todo demonio y arma
   forjada en contra de tus hijos. Los cubrimos con tu sangre preciosa y
   que tus angeles acampen alrededor de los que te temen. En el nombre De
