- Hundreds of imprisoned political dissidents were released at the end
of 2011, but at least 2,000 remain in prison. Pray for their release - That promised political reform will bring more freedom to Burma’s Christians.

ask in the name of our Lord Jesus Chrst that you send strong leaders who
will protect their ability to gather in prayer and for fellowship and
evangelism. Please give your gracious increase to the harvest of
believers in Burma. In Jesus precious name. Amen.
what to pray for, and so I don’t know what You desire for me to pray
regarding Burma. I know that You love the people there and that You
desire for them to know You more, and more of them to come to know You.
So it’s with that heart that I pray this morning.
First I pray for the member of the Human Right Commission who is a
Christian. You appointed him/her to that position with a purpose in
mind, and I pray that You would give him/her Your wisdom and Your
strength to carry out that purpose. I pray that You would use him/her
as a driving force within that organization so that Your agenda can move
forward. I pray that You would protect him/her from any type of
compromise, bribery acceptance, moral failure, etc. You are the one who
is able to keep us from falling.
I also pray for the many Christians who are currently political
prisoners, and also for those who may not be Christians but who are
unfairly jailed. I pray that You would release them so that justice can
be served. I pray that, for the Christians, that You would use them in
prison until the moment You’ve ordained for their release. Strengthen
them, protect them and provide for them in Jesus’ name. Help them not
to lose hope or grow weary. Help them to look to You and to find all
they need in You, because You are more than able to provide everything
that they lack.
I also pray that the promised political reform in this country will
bring more freedom to the Christians who live in Burma. I pray that
Your gospel would be given the opportunity to run freely in this land,
and that this new legislature would make that process easier.
I also want to pray for the churches and home fellowships in Burma that
are having a very difficult time obtaining permission to meet, etc.
Lord, let Your will be done in that area. If it’s supposed to become
easier for them to meet, then I pray that You would change laws and
change the hearts of the village chiefs so that this can happen. But if
not, I pray that You would protect the secret churches and fellowship
groups, and that You would give them wisdom on when to meet and when not
to, and where, and with whom, etc. I ask all of these things in Jesus’
name, amen.

spiritual and physical needs. I also pray that there truly would be

in Jesus. May many more be brought into your Kingdom, Lord, and may
believers in this region serve as a powerful witness for the Truth of
Jesus. Protect all those who are yours and will be yours, Heavenly

and protect Your people and give them the courage to stand for You, even
in times of persecution. While this country is not as extreme in their
treatment of Christians as many of their neighboring countries, there
are still over 2,000 dissidents in jail. Help the leaders of this
country to decide to release them, and if that is not Your will, use
them in the prisons to find lost souls for You there. Touch the hearts
of those involved with the new Human Rights commission, helping them to
open the door to Christians and being allowed to preach Your gospel
throughout this country. Let each of our brothers and sisters in Burma
know that people are praying for them around the world. Dear Lord, we
know that time is short and the harvest is so ripe, help us to find more
laborers for You.

to manage them all. We worry too much, and run to You so little. But
we run to You now with Your heart for Myanmar. Please give the
prisoners strength, courage, and warm hearts and sharp minds while they
are in prison and when Your time comes for release. Send Your Sprit to
Myanmar to show the light and life and warmth of Your love. Draw the
members of the Human Rights group to You through this Christian. Please
give him/her Your mission in Your way. I love You and I trust You to
take care of us. All of us. Those in Burma and those across the world.
