Bishop Tawadros chosen to be head of Coptic Orthodox in Egypt
Bishop Tawadros has been chosen as the new Pope of Egypt’s Coptic
Christians, becoming leader of the largest Christian minority in the
Arab World. He will replace Pope Shenouda III, who had led the Coptic
Church for over 40 years, but died earlier this year.The new Pope, who has studied in Britain, is a man of broad
